Democrats thought they had an airtight plan to stop Donald Trump.

But now it’s back to drawing board.

And Elon Musk dropped a major 2024 prediction that stopped Democrats cold in their tracks.

As Conservative Revival reports:

Twitter CEO Elon Musk predicts if former President Donald Trump is arrested it will actually help him retake the White House.

“If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory,” Musk said in a tweet on Saturday.

Musk isn’t the only one who thinks bringing baseless criminal charges against Trump will reenergize the former President’s base.

Andrew McCarthy, former Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, blasted Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case against the former President as “nonsense” and a “blatantly partisan exercise of raw power,” over the weekend.

“This is a classic, invidious selective prosecution. It is being launched strictly for political purposes,” he wrote in a column for the National Review Online.

“It is hard to think of anything that will more rile up Trump’s base and anger other Republicans who, regardless of their distaste for Trump, will find this maneuver despicable,” McCarthy argued.

Even Mike Pence, who’s been a vocal critic of Trump since leaving the White House, told Breitbart News, “It reeks of the kind of political prosecution that that we endured back in the days of the Russia hoax and the whole impeachment over a phone call.”

He added that there seems to be “one standard for Republicans — particularly anybody ever associated with the Trump-Pence administration — and others.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also slammed Bragg’s “political persecution” of Trump.

“The case from the Manhattan District Attorney, if they bring an indictment and charge him, is utter and complete crap…It is flimsy. It is weak,” Cruz said on his latest Verdict podcast episode. “It has been rejected by prosecutor after prosecutor after prosecutor. And it is obviously political retribution and a political persecution.”

The Wall Street Journal editorial board blasted Bragg for his reported decision to indict Trump this week as well.

“Alvin Bragg may actually do it. The Manhattan district attorney is by all media accounts preparing to indict Donald Trump for failing to account properly for hush money paid to his alleged mistress, unleashing who knows what political furies,” the editors wrote on Monday.

The editors said Bragg was acting in a way that was politically motivated and divisive.

“It’s impossible to overstate Mr. Bragg’s bad judgment here,” the board wrote.

“Perhaps the local Democratic DA has discovered some new proof of criminal behavior. But based on the public evidence so far, he would be resurrecting a seven-year-old case that even federal prosecutors refused to bring to court.” If you want the Conservative Revival to keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story and the rest of the breaking news in politics please bookmark our site, consider making us your homepage and forward our content with your friends on social media and email.
