Ratings on Fox News tanked after the channel dismissed Tucker Carlson.
Now Fox News is left scrambling to pick up the pieces.
And Fox News has one plan to replace Tucker Carlson that left everyone stunned.

The Drudge Report posted a blaring headline with sirens announcing that Fox News was about to revamp the entire primetime line-up in a bid to replace Tucker Carlson.
“FOXNEWS is preparing to announce an ambitious new schedule, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, a schedule where ever hour of primetime will change!” Drudge reported. “TOP SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: ‘IT’S OUR BOLDEST AND MOST FEARLESS LINE-UP EVER’…” the Drudge Report read.
According to Drudge, Fox News planned to move Sean Hannity out of the 9 p.m. time slot and into Tucker Carlson’s old 8 p.m. program.
Fox would then shift Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld – hosts of the 7 and 11 p.m. shows – into prime time.
Ever since Fox News jettisoned Carlson, ratings have been in the tank.
Ratings in Carlson’s 8 p.m. hour are down more than 50 percent.
Other programs are also struggling as only “The Five” and “Jesse Watters Primetime” topped 2 million viewers.
In even more disturbing news for Fox is the fact that the audience in the 25-54 age demographic – the audience networks use to determine ad rates – plunged by two-thirds after Fox News jettisoned Carlson.
Fox News needs a massive shake-up and soon.
But Fox News denied Drudge’s report that it planned to revamp every hour in prime time.
“No decision has been made on a new primetime line-up and there are multiple scenarios under consideration,” a Fox News statement read.
Fox News underwent turmoil before.
In 2017 Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly left the network within months of one another and the Fox News ratings juggernaut chugged along.
But the circumstances of O’Reilly and Kelly’s departures are not similar to Fox’s current predicament.
O’Reilly was the number-one-rated host in cable news and management positioned Kelly as the future face of the network.
But O’Reilly left under the cloud of scandal related to O’Reilly paying millions of dollars to settle sexual harassment claims.
Kelly famously feuded with Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign and the conservative base did not view Kelly as one of their favorites.
Fox News also had Tucker Carlson they could seamlessly slide into O’Reilly’s spot.
That led Fox News to think the real star of the show was the Fox News brand and the most valuable real estate on cable news was Fox’s 8 p.m. time slot.
Carlson’s firing and the resulting ratings slide obliterated that delusion.
