John Fetterman has Democrats holding their breath for every media appearance.
Fetterman can’t help but create controversy.
And John Fetterman went on Fox News and what happened next left Democrats shaking their heads.
As Liberal Hack Watch reports:
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Fetterman defended Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer nixing the dress code so Fetterman could show up to work dressed like he just walked out of the line at a soup kitchen.
Fetterman wears shorts and a hoodie to cosplay like a blue-collar Joe with a six-pack when in reality he comes from a family of great wealth and his primary income – until he was nearly 50 years old – was the allowance his mom and dad gave to him.
In the Fox News interview, Fetterman claimed that dressing like a bum for one of the most prestigious jobs in the country is an American’s right of freedom.
“I feel it’s a little more freedom, which should be bipartisanship,” Fetterman told Fox News. “I don’t know why the right side seems to be losing their minds over it.”
But Fetterman knew the temperature has been rising in the Senate over his choice of attire and said he’d dress like a bum less often.
“I think it’s a good thing, but I’m going to use it sparingly,” Fetterman added. “I hope other colleagues take advantage of it too.”
Republicans and Democrats both balked at Fetterman treating the Senate like a frat house.
“This is a terribly sad development for the U.S. Senate,” Wyoming Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis told reporters. “I’ve never seen civility enhanced or a sense of decorum enhanced by dressing like a slob.”
