Newsmax Reportedly Preparing to Make a Massive Offer to Tucker Carlson

Firing Tucker Carlson may turn out to be the biggest mistake in the history of Fox News.

Fox News Chairman Rupert Murdoch made a massive miscalculation.

And Tucker Carlson is about to get this huge job offer that could cripple Fox News.

As Black Eye Politics reports:

Tucker Carlson is looking at his options after Fox News showed him the door.

Carlson’s next move could make or break Fox News.

And Tucker Carlson just got one job offer that will leave you speechless.

Fox News schemed to pay Carlson the remaining 19 months on his contract to keep him off the air until 2025.

By not firing Carlson — even though that is effectively what happened — and paying Carlson, Fox can keep Carlson from jumping to a competitor.

Fox News brass has good reason to worry about Carlson joining a rival network.

After Fox News yanked Carlson off the air the ratings in Carlson’s time slot plunged 50 percent and ratings across the network’s prime-time lineup were down.

Not one Fox News show between 7 and 10 p.m. drew more than 2 million viewers, a sharp decline in viewership.

By contrast Newsmax’s 8 p.m. show — hosted by Trump supporter and former Fox News host Eric Bolling — saw its audience triple from an average of about 120,000 viewers to over 550,000.

And now TMZ reports Newsmax is preparing to capitalize on the blowback to Fox News firing Tucker Carlson by not just offering Carlson a show — but also the ability to program the network.

TMZ exclusively reports:

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the news channel is doing everything it can to sweeten the deal for Tucker to come on board — including floating the idea of letting him program the whole channel, not just his own show.

That would be a pretty enticing deal point … in addition to having his own primetime show, Tucker would have a say over what shows lead into and out of his show, which can be key in achieving bigger TV ratings.

While our sources stress Newsmax hasn’t formally offered Tucker a job — he can’t have formal discussions due to his current Fox News contract — we’re told the network execs have made it clear to people around him, they would basically give him a big say in rebranding their channel.

Newsmax can’t legally speak to Carlson due to his contractual status with Fox News, but a statement from the conservative network indicated that if Carlson became available executives would gladly speak with him.

“We have not spoken with Tucker Carlson but Newsmax is always open to a conversation with incredible talent, including Tucker,” Newsmax’s statement read.

A video Carlson posted to social media went viral with 20 million views — more than ten times the current highest-rated program on Fox News — where Carlson hinted that Fox News fired him for challenging the establishment orthodoxy on the war in Ukraine, immigration, and weaponizing the government following January 6 to target Trump supporters.

“In five years, we won’t even remember that we had them. Trust me as someone who’s participated. And yes, at the same time, and this is the amazing thing, the undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all: War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources,” Carlson stated.

Carlson hinted that he was looking for a home to have these discussions.

“When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues?” Carlson added. “It has been a long time. Debates like that are not permitted in American media.”

Will that platform be Newsmax?
