Bill Clinton’s career has been marred by scandal.

Clinton is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

And this single payment landed Bill Clinton is hot water.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, who is awaiting trial on allegations of federal fraud and money laundering charges, reportedly paid former President Bill Clinton a staggering amount to give a speech.

Clinton was paid over $250,000 to give a speech at Bankman-Fried’s Crypto Bahamas Conference in April 2022, according to the New York Post.

Clinton was a speaker at the conference that billed itself as “an exclusive gathering of the leading investors and builders in the blockchain, digital assets and web3 space.”

Not long afterwards Bankman-Fried was asked by Bill and Hillary Clinton to speak at their annual Clinton Global Initiative in New York.

This served as an “effective endorsement of the former FTX CEO that played a pivotal role in elevating his reputation among politicians and deep-pocketed investors alike,” the New York Post reported that insiders told them.

Bankman-Fried was listed as a speaker alongside well-known people such as Matt Damon, Gavin Newsom, Melinda French Gates, Eric Adams and Larry Fink on the website for the Clinton Global Initiative.

Asked for a comment about the event, a spokesperson for the Clintons replied, “SBF was never on stage at CGI — in person or virtually.”

The Clintons have been silent about returning the money even though many people lost their life savings through FTX.

“I don’t think every public figure has to give back every dollar from every tarnished source, but it’s obviously wrong to hold onto money the orchestrator of a Ponzi scheme paid you to lend their grift credibility,” Jeff Hauser, founder and director of the Revolving Door Project, a progressive group that examines money and corruption in politics told The Post.

“They should just apologize and give the money back now,” another insider told The Post. “It’s only going to get messier.”

The Clintons aren’t the only Democrats Bankman-Fried had ties to. He donated $39 million to Democrats ahead of the midterms and met with top Biden officials multiple times.

A reporter asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre what happened in the four meetings Bankman-Fried had with White House top officials Steve Ricchetti and Bruce Reed.

Jean-Pierre claimed that officials discussed “pandemic prevention” and “general information on the cryptocurrency industry.”

“The White House regularly engages with officials from a range of industries and sectors, including leaders in business and labor and nonprofits,” Jean-Pierre remarked.

Among others, Bankman-Fried made donations to House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA).
