UFC President Dana White Slams Critics of Bud Light Sponsorship Deal

The Bud Light boycott is one of the biggest stories of 2023.

Now it’s part of the world of sports.

And what the UFC boss said about Bud Light will put your jaw on the ground.

As Liberal Hack Watch reports:

Bud Light lost its spot as America’s most popular beer following a massive customer boycott after its parent company – Anheuser-Busch – signed an endorsement deal with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Bud Light’s rural, red-state customer base rebelled at the idea of the iconic beer brand shoving woke politics down their throat and so many Americans stopped buying Bud Light that sales plummeted over 25 percent at one point and vendors that bottled Bud Light laid off workers due to plummeting demand.

Anheuser-Busch wanted to get back in the good graces of its former customers and inked a $100 million deal to become the official beer of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

If any sport is associated with Donald Trump and red-state America, it’s the UFC.

Its fanbase is overwhelmingly young, male conservatives.

Trump received a hero’s welcome when he attended UFC 290 this past July.

Top fighters like former champion Colby Covington openly brag about their support for Trump.

And UFC President Dana White endorsed Trump in 2016 and 2020 and spoke at the Republican National Convention.

Media members pressed White on the Bud Light sponsorship deal at the Power Slap 5 media scrum.

White said he expected some sort of backlash but criticized anyone who claimed he sold out by inking a deal with Bud Light ripping them as “dummies” because all sponsorship deals are about money.

“Believe me, if you think I got into this thinking that wouldn’t happen, you’re out of your mind,” White stated. “People are very opinionated about this, and it’s almost like the COVID thing. Through COVID, what did I say during COVID? Somebody’s gotta be first. There are reasons why I felt we could be first going through COVID, knew we would do it right, yada, yada, yada. You know the story. But when it comes to Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light, everybody talks about, ‘Oh, you did it for money.’ Hey, dummies, all sponsorship deals are about money. Okay? So, when you talk about being a sellout, I had multiple deals in front of me.”

White said he could have picked any beer brand to go into business with but said partnering with Bud Light was about “values.”

The UFC head honcho lambasted critics who said Bud Light wrote a script for him as “a–holes.”

“So it’s not like Bud Light showed up and they were the only option I had to get money,” White added. “You know how f—ing stupid that is? To think this was all about, and I said this yesterday and I’ll say it again, everybody on every side of this deal that were involved, other beer companies and everything else absolutely, positively know that this was not about money for me. We were going to end up with money no matter who we ended up with. For Anheuser-Busch, it was about values, core values for me. I’m at a point in my life, and I’m at a point in my career, where nothing is just about money anymore. I saw some other (expletive) a–hole today saying, ‘Oh it sounds like they wrote him a script on what to say.’ Nobody writes me a script. Nobody tells me what to say, ever.”

Bud Light and Target both lost billions of dollars after going woke and promoting transgenderism.

The UFC is now rolling the dice that they won’t be the next brand to suffer the consequences for dealing with a brand that their fanbase likely despises.
