Conservatives learned the hard way they cannot trust elected Republicans.

It was an expensive lesson.

And you won’t believe how these 18 Senate RINOs just double crossed Trump supporters.

As Great American Daily reports:

Conservatives are outraged after 18 “Republican” senators teamed up with the Democrats to ram through a 1.7 trillion-dollar omnibus spending bill right before Christmas, with little to no debate or even time to read the legislation.

And now, the details of what is inside of the bill are finally coming to light, sparking intense controversy within the Republican Party as a massive chunk of the Senate GOP caucus voted for one of the worst spending bills in America’s history.

Fox News reports, “Conservatives on Twitter blasted the news that the Senate had passed the massive $1.7 trillion omnibus bill by a 68-29 vote Thursday, especially targeting the 18 Senate Republicans who voted in favor of more government spending.

“The Senate approved the 4,000-page bill that funds the government for the rest of the fiscal year, until September 2023. The omnibus included $858 billion for defense, $787 billion for non-defense domestic programs and more than 7,200 earmarks costing over $15 billion.”

Among the items included in the bill are millions of dollars in funds for the “Michelle Obama trail,” millions for a federal bee-keeping program along U.S. highways, and a staggering $500 million to promote abortion in parts of America where high levels of population growth “threaten diversity.”

But despite the extreme waste of taxpayer dollars outlined in the legislation, that didn’t stop large portions of the Senate Republican caucus from voting for the omnibus, including the Senate minority leader himself.

But Mitch McConnell wasn’t the only Republican to vote for the bill.

The 18 fake “Republicans” who voted for the omnibus bill include McConnell, Richard Shelby (AL), Roy Blunt (MO), John Boozman (AR), Shelley Moore Capito (WV), Susan Collins (ME), John Cornyn (TX), Tom Cotton (AR), Lindsey Graham (SC), Jim Inhofe (OK), Jerry Moran (KS), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Rob Portman (OH), Mitt Romney (UT), Mike Rounds (SD), John Thune (SD), Roger Wicker (MS), and Todd Young (IN).

Some of these Republicans are leaving office in January, such as Shelby.

But several others just won re-election, like Murkowski.

Others have hinted that they plan on running for other offices in 2024, like Todd Young who plans to run for governor of Indiana.

And still more are up for re-election in 2024, including Mitt Romney.

But what all of them have in common is that they betrayed conservatives in a major way.

And their actions aren’t going unnoticed.

“I’m disappointed in some of my fellow Republicans, who voted against respecting the taxpayers and for empowering themselves to spend your money with reckless abandon,” said Rand Paul, who blasted his own caucus members for throwing Republicans under the bus with the bill.

But perhaps most shocking of all was the fact that Republicans gained zero leverage from the bill, while Democrats gained many critical agenda items they have been pushing for.
