Ilhan Omar is used to being at the center of controversy.
But not like this.
And Ilhan Omar just got really bad news from the police.

Police arrested Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, and 100 other demonstrators who set up a tent city on Columbia University’s campus as part of an anti-Israel demonstration.
But police weren’t the only ones fed up with the growing anti-Semitic sentiment engulfing college campuses and Barnard College suspended Hirsi and two other students for taking part in this protest.
Hirsi posted a missive to social media announcing that she is part of a radical group that promotes the anti-Semitic trope that Israel is an “apartheid state” and supports the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement which aims to cripple Israel economically.
“I just received notice that I am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide,” Hirsi wrote.
In her communique, Hirsi also exposed one of the big problems with college campuses which is that they selectively enforce speech codes to cancel conservatives but let leftists run amok.
“I’m an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest @ColumbiaSJP, in my 3 years at @BarnardCollege I have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings,” Hirsi added.
Barnard College Dean Leslie Grinage explained that the suspensions were based on ignoring repeated warnings that this tent city protest amounted to trespassing.
“This decision is based on information received from Columbia University Public Safety that you have been involved in an unauthorized encampment on the Columbia University campus and you have not ceased participation in this unauthorized encampment despite repeated requests from Barnard and Columbia on April 17, 2024 that you do so,” Grinage wrote in her email.
But Hirsi wasn’t backing down and unleashed a firehose of falsehoods about Israel and Palestinians who harbored the Hamas terrorists who carried out the October 7 attack.
“We will stand resolute until our demands are met. Our demands include divestment from companies complicit in genocide, transparency of @Columbia’s investments and FULL amnesty for all students facing repression,” Hirsi concluded.
Ilhan Omar holds these noxious views as well.
In 2021, Omar claimed the lie sliming Israel as an apartheid state “is a factual statement.”
There was never any land belonging to the Palestinian people because there never was a country of Palestine at any point in human history.
But Omar believes this lie and now her daughter’s bought in as well.
