Rachel Maddow Attacks J.D. Vance Over ‘Lord of the Rings’

The Democrats’ derangement syndrome is worse than ever before.

Members of the media are losing their minds.

And you won’t believe what book Rachel Maddow now says is racist.

As Liberal Hack Watch reports:

Donald Trump picking Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate cemented the GOP as the party of the America First agenda.

Vance is an articulate, telegenic 39-year-old senator who can offer up a persuasive argument for Trump’s agenda to end foreign wars, seal the border and take back power from liberal elites for the benefit of everyday Americans.

Vance also brings a Hollywood backstory – as memorialized in the hit book “Hillbilly Elegy” and subsequent Netflix movie – of growing up poor in the hills of Appalachia while his mother battled addiction, only to succeed in life thanks to the love of his grandmother.

Vance enlisted in the Marines, served in Iraq, attended Yale Law School and formed a successful business.

It was Vance’s business background that drew Maddow’s ire.

Vance’s sterling biography and successful career meant Democrats had nothing to attack so Maddow made up a doozy about how J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic “The Lord of the Rings” novel series was secretly the racist inspiration for Vance’s politics.

Maddow noted that Vance’s mentor, Peter Thiel, named one of his companies after an object that appeared in “The Lord of the Rings.”

“Like Mr. Thiel, who has named his companies after things in the Lord of the Rings series of J.R.R. Tolkien books. Lord of the Rings is a sort of favorite cosmos for naming things and cultural references for a lot of far right and alt right figures, both in Europe and the United States. Peter Thiel names all these things after Tolkien figures in places like his company Palantir, for example,” Maddow stated.

Maddow then explained that Vance named his companies after one of the rings of power – Narya.

Maddow claimed this was a dog whistle to white supremacists because Maddow claimed if you moved the letter “N” from the start to the end of “Narya,” you got the word “Aryan.”

“Like his mentor, like Peter Thiel, who had given him all his jobs in the world, Mr. Vance also when he founded his own venture capital firm with help from Peter Thiel, named it after a Lord of the Rings thing. He called it Narya, N-A-R-Y-A, which you can remember because it’s Aryan, but you move the N to the front,” Maddow continued.

“Apparently that word has something to do with elves and rings from the Lord of the Rings series, I don’t know,” Maddow added.

“The Lord of the Rings” is the enduring saga of Frodo Baggins’ quest to destroy the Ring of Power before the Dark Lord Sauron regains possession of it and forces all of Middle Earth under his evil rule.

Generations of Americans grew up reading the tale of the Hobbits, Gandalf’s wisdom, Aragon’s bravery, Gollum’s obsession, and how the most unlikely hero emerged to save the day.

Peter Jackson turned the books into a hit film series that won an Oscar for Best Picture with 2003’s “The Return of the King.”

But the woke madness of the left combined with Trump Derangement Syndrome now has liberals claiming one of the most popular sets of novels in history are now the clandestine texts for neo-Nazis.
