Kamala Harris’ campaign is a media creation.
Harris is counting on the media machine to carry her through Election Day.
And Kamala Harris never expected these swing state poll results.
As Liberal Hack Watch reports:
The first week of Kamala Harris as the Democrat Party nominee for president saw the media go into full “1984”-style propaganda mode.
Media outlets literally erased negative stories about Harris from the internet while openly cheering her on to try and turn her into a cultural icon and celebrity akin to Barack Obama in 2008.
Harris received tens of millions of dollars in free advertising as this fawning coverage spread across the entire mainstream media.
Even Donald Trump ‘s pollster, Tony Fabrizio, produced a memo predicting Harris would overtake Trump in the polls thanks to this “sugar high.”
But then a funny thing happened.
The data came in.
And the polls showed Donald Trump maintaining a similar lead over Harris that he held over Joe Biden.
Redfield Wilton produced a set of swing state polls showing Trump leading in Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
Trump and Harris were tied in Wisconsin.
Harris only led Trump in Minnesota.
In what was surely a gut punch for Democrats, Trump led Harris by similar margins as he did Joe Biden in Redfield Wilton’s swing state polls taken July 16-18, which was just before Biden dropped out of the race because his poll numbers cratered.
The Hill and Emerson produced their set of swing state polls that showed Trump leading in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania while tied with Harris in Wisconsin.
This is when Harris should be getting a major boost.
Democrat enthusiasm is through the roof and polls are likely suffering from response bias of Harris supporters being more likely to answer the phone.
The swing state polls showing Trump maintaining leads similar to what he held over Biden shows Harris will have a lot of ground to make up once her bounce fades.
