Fox News Co-Workers Come to Peter Hegseth’s Defense

Pete Hegseth is fighting for his nomination as secretary of Defense.

The swamp thought they had Hegseth beat.

But Pete Hegseth got one piece of backup that just changed everything.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

Pete Hegseth supports Donald Trump’s America First foreign policy and will help Trump stop endless wars.

Trump also knows he can trust Hegseth to carry out Trump’s plan to fire woke generals and ban DEI programs from the military.

Hegseth’s opposition to endless war and woke DEI programs threatens the left’s ability to capture the military as an institution.

The media launched a sick smear campaign as a result.

NBC News published a hit piece featuring anonymous quotes from ten former Fox News co-workers claiming, without citing any evidence, that Hegseth showed up for his co-hosting duties for “Fox & Friends Weekend” hungover with the stench of alcohol lingering on his breath.

“Two of those people said that on more than a dozen occasions during Hegseth’s time as a co-host of ‘Fox & Friends Weekend,’ which began in 2017, they smelled alcohol on him before he went on air. Those same two people, plus another, said that during his time there he appeared on television after they’d heard him talk about being hungover as he was getting ready or on set,” NBC News reported.

“One of the sources said they smelled alcohol on him as recently as last month and heard him complain about being hungover this fall,” NBC also reported.

The pushback from Hegseth’s former co-workers was noteworthy.

Unlike the attackers, Hegseth’s co-hosts went on the record to denounce the NBC report as fake news.

“10 ‘anonymous sources’ for @NBCNews. Here’s your on the record statements from people who worked with @PeteHegseth. I know there’s MANY more of you. Drop it here,” co-host Will Cain posted on X.

“The losers at @NBCNews never reached out to me either. @willcain is right – your story IS horses***. You now have 2 people who sat next to him 8+ hours a week on the record. Will you retract or correct your story?” fellow co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy added.

Joey Jones is a combat veteran who lost limbs in war.

Jones is also a frequent Fox News guest.

And Jones wrote on social media that the story that Hegseth came to work inebriated was a lie as he detests the smell of alcohol and he would know if he could smell it on Hegseth’s breath,

“I don’t drink. I’m disgusted by the smell of alcohol on someone’s breath. I’ve never EVER seen Pete drink like that, and have never smelled alcohol on his breath at work. These hit pieces are getting laughable,” Jones stated.

Donald Trump nominated Peter Hegseth because he wants a change agent at the Pentagon to help drain the swamp.

The swamp prefers the status quo.
