Liz Cheney picked a fight with Donald Trump.
But Liz Cheney bit off way more than she could chew.
And now Liz Cheney’s darkest secret just got exposed by this smoking gun report.
As West Wing Daily reports:
When Republicans won the majority in the House of Representatives, the GOP began an investigation into the activities of the January 6 Select Committee.
Liz Cheney took command of the committee and used the committee to exact vengeance on Donald Trump.
The committee staged show trial hearings produced by a media executive to give a Hollywood movie feel to the proceedings.
Cheney and the other committee members carefully curated which specific witnesses testified in public, cherrypicked evidence, and ignored any leads that either exonerated Donald Trump or pointed the finger of blame for what happened on January 6 in other directions.
Georgia Congressman Barry Loudermilk chaired the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee.
It was Loudermilk’s committee that unearthed the bombshell revelations that the January 6 committee deleted important records and that Cheney went behind the back of former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s attorney to arrange Hutchinson’s appearance before the committee where she delivered false testimony about Trump attacking his Secret Service detail and attempting to commandeer his vehicle after agents refused to take him to the Capitol on January 6.
Loudermilk’s committee report recommended criminal charges against Cheney for witness tampering and potential obstruction of justice.
“It’s obvious that [the J6 committee] went to great lengths to prevent Americans from seeing certain documents produced in their investigation,” Loudermilk told Fox News. “It also appears that Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney intended to obstruct our Subcommittee by failing to preserve critical information and videos as required by House rules.”
Donald Trump said from day one the committee was a rigged witch hunt.
And Trump celebrated these findings as vindication he was correct about Cheney and the other committee members committing criminal acts.
“Cheney did something that’s inexcusable, along with Thompson and the people on the un-select committee of political thugs and, you know, creeps.” Trump said in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press”host Kristen Welker. “They deleted and destroyed all evidence.”
“Just remember, the unselect committee – a year and a half of sworn testimony, and after getting all of the testimony, they deleted it, wait, and they destroyed almost everything,” Trump continued. “There’s nothing left. It’s unprecedented, and they deny you do that. In a civil case, you go to jail.”
The American people agree with Trump.
A Rasmussen poll found 57 percent of Americans agree with the FBI investigating Cheney.
Trump and his supporters maintain that having the rule of law also means that Trump’s opponents don’t receive carte blanche to bend and break the law because the media and D.C. establishment thought getting Donald Trump meant the end justified the means.
