Donald Trump is Trying to Challenge China on the Global Stage
One of the key foreign policy moves that Donald Trump has made dating back to his first term, but particularly in the early weeks of his second term, is turning his attention towards China.
Trump recognizes that China is the main global adversary of the United States and that they present a real danger to the free world.
Their brand of expansionist communism could destroy the global order and enslave billions of people if it goes unchecked.
Trump knows he needs to put a stop to it, but what he is quickly realizing is that many people in establishment D.C. are a bit too cozy with the Chinese Communist Party.
One of those is apparently Chuck Schumer.
Schumer was photographed with CCP officials in a brand-new photo that just leaked which stirred up controversy.
And this comes at a time when Trump is making moves to more explicitly ally the United States with Taiwan against the CCP regime.
Chuck Schumer is Taking Photographs with a Chinese Communist Party Official
According to Fox News, “Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has been repeatedly photographed this month sharing a stage with a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official who has publicly denied China’s alleged genocide against the Uyghur population.
“Chinese Consul General in New York Chen Li has posted multiple photos of him posing with Schumer on his X profile this month, including attending at least two Chinese parades.”
The fact that these photos are circulating, and yet Democrats have not made any serious attempt to challenge Schumer’s leadership in the party, reveals a problem.
It shows that the Democratic Party has become far too comfortable with elected officials who cozy up to the CCP, knowing full well how much of a danger their regime poses.
The article continues, “In another post on Monday that included Schumer and anti-Trump Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, Chen said he was ‘glad to join the 27th NYC Lunar New Year Parade together with all his American “friends” and Chinese “fellow-countrymen.”’
“Chen has previously denied China’s alleged genocide against the Uyghur population, which has been condemned by many on the world stage, including the United Nations.”
“The CCP has long claimed its ‘re-education camps’ are voluntary and work only to stamp out extremism, but the leaked documents and photos have shown the camps are far from voluntary, Fox News Digital previously reported.”
Schumer may think that he’s just celebrating a holiday alongside his constituents who are of Chinese heritage, but he could easily do that without buddying up with a CCP official.
Schumer could have hosted his own event for the Chinese New Year, inviting people of Chinese heritage in his state but withholding an invite to anyone directly affiliated with the CCP.
Instead, he allowed himself to be photographed with a communist who defends some of the biggest human right violations that have taken place in the 21st century.
