Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski represents a ruby-red state yet she votes like a resistance Democrat.
Murkowski voted against Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Murkowski voted to convict Donald Trump in the January 6 impeachment hoax.
Murkowski also voted for Joe Biden’s Green New Deal and “red flag” confiscation gun-grab bill.
Now Murkowski is getting ready to defy Trump and vote against his second term agenda to secure the border, slash spending and bring down inflation.
Elon Musk is already threatening to fund primary challengers to Republicans who stab the MAGA movement in the back.
Murkowski is now lashing out at Musk, declaring she intends to oppose Trump’s agenda.
“When people say, why aren’t you a better Republican? And if you’re not, get out of the party. You know what? You know what? Until Alaskans tell me, Lisa, it’s just not working anymore, I am going to give you every last breath that I have. And I’m going to try to solve every little problem,” Murkowski said at a press conference at the Alaska State Capitol in explaining why she votes like a Democrat.
Murkowski then dared Elon Musk to find a primary challenger against her when she runs for re-election in 2028.
“And I’m not going to compromise my own integrity by hiding from my words when I feel they need to be spoken. I’m going to take the criticism that comes. And it may be that Elon Musk has decided he’s going to take the next billion dollars that he makes off of Starlink and put it directly against Lisa Murkowski,” Murkowski continued.
At the end of the rant, Murkowski claimed there was a sleeper cell of Never Trumpers in the Senate GOP that is afraid of facing primary challengers or they too would join with Democrats to oppose Trump.
“That’s why you’ve got everybody just, like, zip-lipped, not saying a word, because they’re afraid they’re going to be taken down, they’re going to be primaried, they’re going to be given names in the media. You know what? We cannot be cowed into not speaking up,” Murkowski concluded.
Alaska’s rigged ranked-choice voting scheme is what keeps Murkowski in office.
Ranked-choice voting is a plot invented by Democrats to ensure the most liberal candidate wins even in red states.
In Alaska, the top four vote-getters, regardless of party, qualify for the general election from a primary where all candidates appear on the ballot.
The way ranked-choice voting works is candidates outside the top two are eliminated and their voters list their second choice.
In 2022, Murkowski would have lost to a Trump-backed challenger in a normal first-past-the-post system that exists everywhere else in America where the person with the most votes wins.
But because of Alaska’s ranked-choice scheme, Democrats were able to vote for Murkowski once their candidate was eliminated.
Since Democrats kept Murkowski in office, Murkowski pays them back by voting like a leftist at every opportunity.
