Joe Biden promised unity and a return to normal.
Instead Biden delivered incompetence and scandal.
And this secret sexual relationship threw Joe Biden’s life into chaos.
As Conservative Revival reports:
Politico PLAYBOOK’s Tara Palmeri broke the story that Biden deputy press secretary TJ Ducklo was dating Axios reporter Alexi McCammond, who covered Biden during the Presidential campaign.
The Biden administration was literally in bed with the press.
Axios claimed to resolve the situation by moving McCammond – who comes across as a partisan leftwing activist on TV and social media – to covering Vice President Kamala Harris as if that cleared up any conflicts of interest.
But to make matters worse, when Palmeri emailed McCammond for comment on inauguration day, Ducklo responded by threatening to “destroy” Palmeri’s career if she published the story.
Vanity Fair exclusively reported, “The confrontation began on Inauguration Day, January 20, after Palmeri, a coauthor of Politico’s Playbook, contacted McCammond for comment while one of her male colleagues left a message for Ducklo, according to the sources. Ducklo subsequently called a Playbook editor to object to the story, but was told to call the Playbook reporters with his concerns. But instead of calling the male reporter who initially contacted him, Ducklo tried to intimidate Palmeri by phone in an effort to kill the story. “I will destroy you,” Ducklo told her, according to the sources, adding that he would ruin her reputation if she published it.”
Ducklo kept up the bullying routine making several deragtory comments about Palmeri’s sex life including one bizarre insult where Ducklo claimed Palmeri only wanted to trash McCammond because a guy Palemeri allegedly liked had sex with Duckalo’s girlfriend instead of Palmeri.
“During the off-the-record call, Ducklo made derogatory and misogynistic comments, accusing Palmeri of only reporting on his relationship—which, due to the ethics questions that factor into the relationship between a journalist and White House official, falls under the purview of her reporting beat—because she was “jealous” that an unidentified man in the past had “wanted to $%^&” McCammond “and not you.” Ducklo also accused Palmeri of being “jealous” of his relationship with McCammond,” Vanity Fair also reported.
White House chief of staff Ron Klain handed Ducklo a slap on the wrist by suspending him for a week without pay.
Ducklo’s conduct blew up into a massive scandal that dominated the news even on a day when Donald Trump’s impeachment trial dragged on because on Joe Biden’s second day in office Biden promised to fire anyone that disrespects a colleague on the spot.
“I’m not joking when I say this: If you’re ever working with me and I hear you treat another with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot,” Biden declared on January 21. “On the spot. No if, ands, or buts.”
When Biden made these comments the administration knew about Ducklo’s attempt to intimidate a female reporter with sexual insults and crude language and took no action.
The administration only took the most meager of action to discipline Ducklo when the story went public.
But the administration’s actions falling far short of their promises is the defining theme of the early weeks of the Biden administration.
Biden campaigned on a plan to crush the virus and deliver 100 million vaccine shots in 100 days.
Immediately upon taking office Biden admitted there was nothing that could change the trajectory of the pandemic and that meeting the goal of administering 100 million vaccine shots in 100 days only meant the administration would maintain the pass of vaccinations taking place at the end of the Trump administration.
Biden also promised to open the majority of schools by the end of the first 100 days.
But as it turned out 64 percent of schools are already open under the Biden administration’s definition of open being hybrid learning with some in person and some virtual instruction.
Biden’s CDC also released what critics called “school closing guidelines” that appear to have been written in conjunction with the teachers unions.
The administration claimed these guidelines provided safe reopening procedures, but in reality the guidelines serve to give cover to the teachers unions to keep schools closed by imposing social distancing guidelines that some critics argue could close up to 95 percent of schools.
Under the guidelines thousands of schools would close.
The Biden administration’s catastrophic performance on every front can best be summed up as deeds falling short of promises.
And TJ Ducklo being sent home for a one week vacation after Biden claimed anyone that acted like him would be fired is the latest sorry example of this pattern of behavior.
