A Supreme Court Justice’s Big Admission Just Crushed Nancy Pelosi

The bad news keeps rolling in for Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats.

Now it came from an unexpected source.

And a Supreme Court Justice’s big admission just crushed Nancy Pelosi.

As Great American Daily reports:

In 1976 Congress passed what is known as the Hyde Amendment which prevented federal funding from directly going to abortions.

Since money is fungible, however, the around $500 million that abortion mills like Planned Parenthood receive help subsidize the taking of innocent lives.

But the Hyde Amendment was a symbolic step toward preventing direct taxpayer funding of abortion.

Democrats ended that when Nancy Pelosi – who falsely claimed to be a “devout Catholic” – led a unified Democrat conference to kill the Hyde Amendment on a 217 to 208 party line vote.

Pelosi and her allies claim funding abortion and Planned Parenthood is about women’s health.

However, an admission by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a 2009 interview revealed once and for all that Democrats view abortion as a means of population control.

Ginsburg stated that Medicaid funding for abortion would cull the population in poor communities by limiting the “growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”

“Frankly, I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of,” Ginsburg added. “So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding of abortion.”

But to eliminate the Hyde Amendment, Senate Democrats will have to pass companion legislation.

Republicans will filibuster any legislation that does not include the Hyde Amendment.

Chuck Schumer and the Democrats have a second path before them.

Democrats could pass a budget through reconciliation with just 51 votes that would strike the Hyde Amendment ban on direct taxpayer funding of abortion.

For that to happen, Chuck Schumer needs all 50 Democrats to stick together to allow Vice President Kamala Harris to pass a tie-breaking vote.

But so far, West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin told multiple media outlets that he would not support spending bills unless they include the Hyde Amendment.

“I’m going to support Hyde in every way possible,” Manchin told Bloomberg.

Those comments echoed a December 2020 statement to National Review.

“As a lifelong Catholic, I have always been pro-life and believe that the Hyde amendment ensures federal funds are not used to perform abortions anywhere in the country,” Manchin’s statement read. “Repealing the Hyde amendment would be foolish and I’m strongly opposed to this push from some Members of Congress. If this legislation is brought before the Senate I will vote against repealing the Hyde amendment.”

Manchin is not always the most reliable vote.

In 2010 and 2012 Manchin campaigned as a pro-gun Democrat.

But in 2013 Manchin teamed with Barack Obama in a failed attempt to create a federal national gun registration database.

The Democrat Party is now fanatically pro-abortion.

Liberals even support abortion in some instances after a baby is born.

Will Manchin be able to withstand the pressure from the left that is sure to come?

Or will he acknowledge the reality that abortion has nothing to do with women’s health and everything to do with implementing a population control agenda?
