A Supreme Court Justice’s Retirement Plans Caused Joe Biden One Big Problem

Democrats are still smarting over how Donald Trump appointed three justices to the Supreme Court.

Now they are getting more bad news.

And a Supreme Court justice’s retirement plans caused Joe Biden one big problem.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

Left-wing activists such as the group “Demand Justice” and other prominent socialists are demanding liberal Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer step down.

A far-left group recently paid a truck to drive around the Supreme Court and blast the song “Breyer, Retire.”

Breyer is the oldest member of the Supreme Court who Bill Clinton appointed back in 1993.

The Democrat base sees that the party controls the White House as well as the Senate and is pressuring Breyer to step down and fill his seat with a radical identity politics zealot.

The Biden administration is aware of the talk, but is not taking steps to urge Breyer to step aside.

“In conversations with CNN, White House officials hew to their public message that there is no open seat on the bench and they’re staying out of the matter until there is. Behind the scenes, though, there are preparations for one of the most significant tasks that could fall to President Joe Biden, who has promised to nominate a Black woman for the job whenever it is available,” CNN reported.

Not every Democrat is following that playbook.

“My goodness: Have we not learned our lesson?” Socialist New York Congressman Mondaire Jones said in an interview with Cheddar News.

Other Democrats were wary that pressure campaign could backfire.

“I’m not sure that that kind of pressure on Justice Breyer is actually helpful in his decision making,” Rhode Island Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse told CNN. “I don’t know the man well enough, but I know plenty of people whose backs would get up when subjected to that kind of pressure. And it’s certainly plausible.”

Whitehouse—who is a deranged conspiracy theorist who once tried to find coded rape and drinking messages in Brett Kavanaugh’s high school yearbook—was actually on to something.

Breyer’s associates warned CNN that pressuring Breyer to step down could backfire.

“Those close to Breyer are infuriated by the retirement pressure from Demand Justice and others, even though they think he will still make his decision based on concern for the well-being of the institution and not because of pressure from liberal groups,” CNN reported.

Democrats know they could lose their Senate majority in the 2022 elections.

If one Democrat experiences a health issue they could lose their majority before that.

The left is worried Breyer will hang on too long like Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the GOP will win the Senate in 2022.

Should that happen, the new Republican majority would hold any seat vacant until the 2024 election and roll the dice that their nominee could defeat the Democrats and replace Breyer with a conservative, creating a 7 to 2 Republican-appointee majority.
