Democrats Try to Get Revenge on the Supreme Court
Democrats have been ruthlessly attacking the Supreme Court in revenge for a string of conservative decisions that the Court has handed down which aim at the heart of the Democrat agenda.
The court, of course, has struck down Roe v. Wade and also strengthened Second Amendment protections for gun owners in some key cases.
Democrats are furious about this, and Adam Schiff has been leading the way in the effort to strip the Supreme Court of some of their power.
He introduced a bill that would expose judges to the possibility of having their private communications leaked for the public to see.
Clearly, he did this in the hopes that embarrassing public details would come out that would allow him and other Democrats to shame Supreme Court justices.
Whether that would actually be the outcome or not is impossible to know, but prying into the personal lives of Supreme Court justices is disgusting.
And now Schiff has gotten bad news that the bill will likely be struck down if it passes.
Law Professor Predicts That Adam Schiff’s Bill Will be Struck Down
According to Newsweek, “The Supreme Court may strike down a bill designed to lift Supreme Court secrecy, a law professor has said.
“Stephen Gillers, a law professor at New York University, was reacting to a new bill introduced on Tuesday by Congressman Adam Schiff which would allow federal judges’ communications to come under the Freedom of Information Act.”
Here is what Gillers said: “On one hand, the Court, which is the final arbiter of such things, might look on Schiff’s bill as a violation of constitutional separation of powers, at least to the extent it would, in the Court’s view, interfere with the Court’s deliberations.”
There is no way that the Supreme Court is going to put up with an attack on their institution like this.
Democrats try to spin their attacks by saying they want to “restore the Court’s reputation” but the reputation is only damaged because of Democrat attacks.
The article continues, “President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday night that he is to focus on Supreme Court reform in his final months in office.
“In an address to explain why he is withdrawing from the presidential election, Biden said that American democracy needed Supreme Court reform.”
It’s very convenient that when the Supreme Court starts making conservative rulings it needs “reform” but it apparently doesn’t need such reform when it makes progressive rulings.
The Democrats and their allies in the media have been hammering away at the Court for years now in an attempt to savage their reputations.
Now they are looking to fundamentally undermine the authority of the Court and make conservative justices feel like they are under threat.
Adam Schiff may have been hoping his bill would contribute to that, but it seems much more likely that the Supreme Court will not allow it to stand.
