Devin Nunes Took Rachel Maddow To Court For This Jaw Dropping Reason

Democrats have it out for Devin Nunes ever since he helped expose the Russian collusion hoax.

That led some big names on the left to make some major mistakes.

Devin Nunes took Rachel Maddow to court for this jaw dropping reason.

As Black Eye Politics reports:

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow led the cable news parade of conspiracy theorists that polluted American politics with fake news and hoaxes about Donald Trump’s campaign colluding with the Russians during the 2016 presidential election.

When that lie collapsed, many on the left refused to give up on the deranged conspiracy theory that Trump and his allies were in league with the Russians.

This past March, that led Rachel Maddow to falsely claim that Devin Nunes refused to turn over a package from a suspected Russian agent to the FBI.

Bloomberg reports:

Nunes specifically complained about statements Maddow made during her March 18 cable-TV show — and repeated on YouTube, Twitter and her blog — that he refused to give the FBI a package he’d received from a suspected Russian agent, according to the complaint filed by the congressman Tuesday in federal court in Sherman, Texas.

Instead, Nunes claims, MSNBC and Maddow knew prior to that broadcast that Nunes had told other reporters he voluntarily gave the FBI a package the suspected agent sent to him through the congressional committee. He said the fact Maddow didn’t ask him for comment before publishing the false statements is proof of actual malice.

Nunes sued MSNBC for defamation arguing that Maddow’s repeated bias and on-air smears against Nunes helped demonstrate absolute malice on the part of MSNBC.

“MSNBC and Maddow harbor an institutional hostility, hatred, extreme bias, spite and ill-will towards plaintiff due to plaintiff’s emergence as the most prominent skeptic in Congress of Maddow’s marquee news narrative from 2017 to 2019: that the Trump campaign colluded with Russians to hack the 2016 presidential elections,” Nunes’ lawyers said in the complaint.

Liberals hate Nunes for helping to blow up the Russian collusion narrative.

When Nunes authored a memo outlining the FBI’s abuses of power in obtaining a FISA warrant under false pretenses to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page, the corporate media – which included Maddow – mocked Nunes as a conspiracy theorist and Trump sycophant.

That ended up being a bad move.

When Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz produced a report outlining 17 errors of omission by the FBI in the Page FISA warrants the activists in the corporate press ate their words.

Devin Nunes is apparently sick of the corporate media smears about him acting like a stooge for the Russian government and is fighting back in the court of law.
