Nancy Pelosi got thrown for a loop.
Democrats feared that Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominees would come back to haunt them.
And that’s exactly what happened when Donald Trump got revenge on Nancy Pelosi with this Supreme Court smackdown.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
The Supreme Court handed down a late night five to four ruling where Republican-appointed Justices – Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas – ruled a Texas law that bans abortion after six weeks can take effect.
Texas drafted a unique law that does not outright ban abortion.
Instead, the law allows citizens to file civil lawsuits against abortion mills and abortionists that terminate the lives of the unborn after the point doctors detect a heartbeat.
This enraged Nancy Pelosi as abortion on demand – even when a baby survives an attempt to end its life – is the crown jewel of the left’s social issue policy agenda.
Pelosi released a statement fuming about the decision falsely claiming that terminating the lives of unborn babies is healthcare.
“The Supreme Court’s cowardly, dark-of-night decision to uphold a flagrantly unconstitutional assault on women’s rights and health is staggering. That this radically partisan Court chose to do so without a full briefing, oral arguments or providing a full, signed opinion is shameful,” Pelosi’s statement began.
Pelosi then claimed the pro-life law was racist because it would save the lives of black babies from death.
“SB8 delivers catastrophe to women in Texas, particularly women of color and women from low-income communities. Every woman, everywhere has the constitutional right to basic health care. SB8 is the most extreme, dangerous abortion ban in half a century, and its purpose is to destroy Roe v. Wade, and even refuses to make exceptions for cases of rape and incest. This ban necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade,” Pelosi added.
Pelosi then promised to pass legislation codifying abortion on demand at any time with no restriction into law once the House of Representatives returned from recess in September.
“Upon our return, the House will bring up Congresswoman Judy Chu’s Women’s Health Protection Act to enshrine into law reproductive health care for all women across America,” Pelosi continued.
Pelosi also attempted to bully Justices John Roberts, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh into voting to rule a Mississippi law banning abortions unconstitutional when the court heard arguments on the most direct challenge to Roe v. Wade in a generation this fall.
“When the Supreme Court takes up its reproductive rights case this year, we urge it to uphold, as Justice Sotomayor wrote in her dissent, ‘its constitutional obligations to protect not only the rights of women, but also the sanctity of its precedents and of the rule of law,’” Pelosi ranted.
Pelosi has reason to believe this will succeed.
In 2012 Barack Obama and his allies successfully intimidated Chief Justice Roberts into switching his vote and inventing a legal basis out of thin air to uphold Obamacare’s individual mandate.
Democrats like Nancy Pelosi are clearly worried that the Supreme Court’s decision in the Texas pro-life case means the Supreme Court is open to junking Roe v. Wade.
And this statement by Pelosi is just the beginning of the biggest pressure campaign in American judicial history.
