Donald Trump is rising in the 2024 polls.
Republicans are wondering who Trump will replace Mike Pence with.
And now Donald Trump may pick this woman as his running mate.

There is no chance Donald Trump will select Mike Pence as his running mate.
Because Trump can only serve one more term in office whoever he picks as his vice president will automatically become the heir apparent to the Trump movement.
Presidential nominees pick their running mates to shore up a weakness, bring along a new base of voters, or accentuate the nominee’s own strengths.
In the case of Donald Trump there is a clear weakness with female voters.
Trump won just 42 percent of women voters in the 2020 election.
Should Trump win the 2024 nomination shoring up Trump’s standing with women is a top priority.
To that end, Trump is reportedly considering picking someone in the mold of Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake as his running mate.

Former President Trump is strongly considering picking a female running mate — and sees Kari Lake as a model for his vice-presidential pick, according to people who discussed the topic with him.
Why it matters: Trump is already gaming out the general election in November 2024 — and knows he has a massive weakness with the white suburban women he would need to beat President Biden.
Lake, a former TV anchor who lost her race for Arizona governor in November, meets Trump’s most important qualification for a No. 2: She has shown she’s willing to defend him vociferously, no matter the issue or controversy.
Lake losing the gubernatorial election makes it highly unlikely Trump would pick her as his running mate.
But Trump would like someone with Lake’s attributes — loyalty, combativeness, and excellent TV skills — as his vice-presidential nominee.
Three other Republican women Trump is considering are RINO former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Some close to Trump think Nikki Haley — former South Carolina governor, and his ambassador to the UN — might be the best fit.
She’s his best-known declared opponent for the GOP nomination. He calculates she doesn’t take a single vote from him.
Another strong fit might be Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was Trump’s White House press secretary.
Whoever Trump picks as his running mate may end up leading the GOP into the 2030s.
