Donald Trump has an ace in the hole that will put Democrats back on their heels.
But Trump isn’t ready to show his cards yet.
And Donald Trump is keeping one secret about his vice president.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Donald Trump has kept his choice of a running mate close to the vest.
The only person Trump ruled out is RINO former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
“Nikki Haley is not under consideration for the V.P. slot, but I wish her well!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R-ND), Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR) and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) are all rumored names on the VP shortlist.
The other big question is when Trump will roll out his running mate.
July 4th presents a tempting option.
Presidential nominees also traditionally roll out their vice-presidential pick at the convention.
Trump faced the question of when he will unveil his running mate in an interview with Scripps News’s Charles Benson.
“What are the chances you will announce your vice president pick while in Milwaukee, at the convention?” Benson asked.
Trump hinted the convention would be a safe bet to make his choice official.
“That’s probably a pretty good chance, I would say. I don’t say anything’s 100 percent, but you’re getting pretty close. I’ll be doing it in Milwaukee, we’ll be — we’re gonna have a great time,” Trump responded.
Republicans scheduled their convention for Milwaukee and Trump noted the state of Wisconsin would play a pivotal role in deciding the next president.
“We’re bringing the convention to Milwaukee. It really is an important state for us. Wisconsin has to be won by us,” Trump added.
In 2016, Trump became the first Republican to win Wisconsin since Ronald Reagan in 1984.
Wisconsin barely flipped back blue by 20,000 votes four years later.
Real Clear Politics also shows that Wisconsin is the closest swing state on the 2024 map.
Donald Trump leads Joe Biden by just 0.6 percent, according to Real Clear Politics.
The Republican Party chose Milwaukee as the host city for the national convention to signal a heavy investment in the state.
Holding what amounts to a four-day pep rally in Milwaukee will also allow for oodles of free local media for Trump and the Republican Party in Wisconsin.
Trump rolling out his running mate in Wisconsin would also serve as another free media opportunity as well as another sign to the voters in the Badger State that they are Trump’s number-one priority this election cycle.
