Taylor Swift is now a major part of the 2024 election.
Swift is squarely on team Kamala.
And Taylor Swift started a fight with Donald Trump that didn’t end like anyone expected.
As Liberal Hack Watch reports:
Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris following the debate with Donald Trump citing Harris’ support for abortion on demand and transgender ideology.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift’s endorsement read. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
Donald Trump responded with a post on Truth Social attacking Swift.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Trump wrote.
The media immediately began to mock Trump and calling him a fool for picking a fight with the most famous – and therefore supposedly most popular – woman on the planet.
But the polls show just how wrong the conventional wisdom is.
And the numbers show Taylor Swift is less popular than Donald Trump and a drag on Kamala Harris.
The latest New York Times/Siena poll found that more Americans had a favorable view of Trump than they did Taylor Swift.
“Just 44% of Americans had a favorable opinion of Swift, according to a poll conducted by the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College between Sept. 11 and Sept. 16…
“…Thirty-four percent of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of Swift, while 22% do not know how to feel about the popular musician…
“…According to the same poll, Trump has a higher favorability rating among American voters than Swift. 47% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Trump,” Mediaite reports.
Taylor Swift was even less popular in one of the key battlegrounds.
The election will come down to if Donald Trump sweeps Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania then he will win the election.
And a recent Victory Insights poll of North Carolina found that Taylor Swift is political poison in the Tar Heel State.
“Asked to rate Swift on a scale of 1 to 5, 30% of respondents rated her a ‘1,’ which corresponds to an ‘extremely negative’ read on the chart-topping singer.
“An additional 9% rate her as a ‘2,’ which translates to a less extreme antipathy,” a New York Post report reads.
The 2024 election has seen one faulty media assumption after another about Donald Trump fall apart.
And the latest bit of media conventional wisdom to collapse is that Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala Harris was checkmate for Donald Trump.
