Hunter Biden Laptop Investigation Heats Up

Hunter Biden has been under criminal investigation for a number of years.

Many Americans are wondering what is taking so long.

Hunter Biden learned some terrible news from one unexpected source.

As Black Eye Politics reports:

More than two years after the Hunter Biden laptop scandal first went public — and the Left first attempted to silence it — Hunter has found himself in yet another scandal that could ultimately result in criminal charges being filed.

The laptop story exposed a wide array of criminal activities that Hunter could end up being charged with, and now a U.S. attorney is currently investigating whether or not charges will ultimately be brought against him.

And rather than move to defend him, Joe Biden’s own attorney general just admitted the unthinkable about this pending criminal investigation into Hunter.

The Washington Examiner reports, “Attorney General Merrick Garland insists that the U.S. attorney handling the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden will have the ability to bring potential charges against President Joe Biden’s son outside of Delaware if needed.”

The admission from Garland comes after Republican Senator Chuck Grassley pressed him on a prior promise that U.S. Attorney David Weiss would be “insulated from political interference” in his ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s dealings.

“In early February 2021, Joe Biden asked all Senate-confirmed U.S. attorneys for their resignations, with Weiss as an exception, who was asked to stay on as he investigates Hunter Biden. The president’s son revealed he was under federal investigation for his taxes shortly after the 2020 election, and he is reportedly being scrutinized for potential money laundering, as well as for possible foreign lobbying violations under the Foreign Agents Registration Act,” adds the Washington Examiner.

During the Senate hearing, Garland finally admitted under pressure from Grassley that if Weiss finds that charges should be brought against Hunter Biden outside of Delaware, he will have the legal authority to do so.

This was previously a question that had been left unanswered, which led to growing doubts that the investigation could lead anywhere even if there was enough evidence uncovered to warrant charging Hunter with any crime.

“If Weiss, the U.S. attorney there in Delaware, must seek permission from a Biden-appointed U.S. attorney to bring charges, then the Hunter Biden criminal investigation isn’t insulated from political interference as you have publicly proclaimed,” Grassley stated, pressing the question to Garland.

Surprisingly, Garland finally relented to the question and answered that Weiss “will be able to do that” if he ultimately concluded that charges should be filed in Washington, D.C. or elsewhere.

This marks a huge turning point in the Hunter Biden investigation as it reveals that the Justice Department realizes it can only go so far in protecting Hunter from the consequences of his own actions.

As much as Joe Biden would want the Justice Department to step in and protect his son from any charges being filed, he knows that he can’t go too far publicly without making the crisis even worse.

If Biden or Garland directly step in to shut down or stop this investigation, it would create an even bigger political crisis for both men than the one they already find themselves in.
