Joe Biden and the Democrats are trying to reboot their chances in the midterm election.

But Biden made a serious error.

And Joe Biden is going to hate to see what this shocking new poll showed.

As Black Eye Politics reports:

In a meeting with Democratic donors last week Biden attacked pro-Trump Republicans, saying that faction of the GOP is committed to a philosophy of “semi-fascism.”

“What we’re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of extreme MAGA philosophy,” Biden said. “It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the — I’m going to say something, it’s like semi-fascism.”

And he’s chosen to double down on the remarks.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre admitted that Biden considers ordinary Americans part of the “extremist threat” Biden has repeatedly mentioned.

“When it comes to voters, how does the president differentiate between the ultra-MAGA folks who he sees as an extremist threat to democracy and the average GOP voter?” Wegmann asked.

“So — can’t talk about voters from here,” Jean-Pierre replied.

“I just need to say that, just to be clear,” Jean-Pierre waved him off. “I mean, the president has been really clear about the leadership, right, the MAGA Republicans in leadership. They’re the ones who have the platform, they’re the ones who — again, the extremist part of the Republican Party. They’re the ones who folks listen to in their own party, and by inciting violence, by trying to take away — they’re the ones who are the legislators who are trying to take away our rights, trying to take away our freedoms. And that’s who the president is speaking to, right, he’s being very targeted in that way in calling that out.”

These divisive remarks appear to be hurting Joe Biden. In just one week Biden’s net approval rating dropped a full seven points.

Last week Biden had 41 percent approval while 54 percent disapproved of him. However just a week later only 38 percent approved of Biden this week, while 58 percent disapproved. Biden’s approval changed from a net approval rating of -13 to a net approval rating of -20.

The poll has a four-point margin of error and was gathered from the replies from 1,005 adults, including 449 Democrats and 357 Republicans.

Reuters admitted the poll is “a poor sign for his Democratic Party’s hopes in the Nov. 8 midterm elections … despite a string of Democratic legislative victories that Biden’s allies hope will help them defend their narrow congressional majorities in November.”

With these poll numbers, Democrats are expected to lose control of the U.S. House and Republicans also have a chance of taking control of the Senate as well.
