John Kennedy Destroys Democrat Talking Point That Kash Patel Is a Conspiracy Theorist

John Kennedy had heard about enough.

It was time to speak out.

And John Kennedy just set the record straight on this big lie told about Kash Patel.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

Democrats thought they could tank Donald Trump’s anti-establishment nominees by portraying them as cranks and conspiracy theorists far outside the mainstream.

That plan of attack failed thanks to a shrewd line of questioning by Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) during Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing to serve as director of the FBI.

Democrats and the media tried to smear Patel with false allegations he was a QAnon conspiracy theorist or that he questioned the 2020 election.

Kennedy put these lies to rest by asking Patel flat out if he was a conspiracy theorist.

“A colleague and friend, Senator Durbin, called you a conspiracy theorist. Remember that?” Kennedy inquired.

“I do,” Patel responded.

Kennedy reminded the committee that Kash Patel was then-House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes’ top aide during the Russian collusion hoax.

Patel authored the memo that showed the FBI used the hoax Steele dossier as the basis to obtain a warrant to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

The memo proved instrumental in debunking the lies – paid for and created by the Hillary Clinton campaign – that Donald Trump colluded with Russia.

“You were instrumental in revealing that the Trump-Russia election collusion hoax was a hoax, weren’t you?” Kennedy asked.

“Yes sir, I was lead investigator,” Patel answered.

At that point Kennedy said it was time to drop the conspiracy theory label since all the stories Democrats and the media described as conspiracies turned out to be true.

“Sounds to me like we need to get some new conspiracy theories because all the old ones turned out to be true,” Kennedy stated.

What further buttressed Kennedy’s argument was that same week the CIA released an assessment stating that COVID-19 escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China.

“CIA assesses with low confidence that a research-related origin of the COVID-19 pandemic is more likely than a natural origin based on the available body of reporting. CIA continues to assess that both research-related and natural origin scenarios of the COVID-19 pandemic remain plausible,” a CIA spokesman told reporters, adding that the CIA “will continue to evaluate any available credible new intelligence reporting or open-source information that could change CIA’s assessment.”

This assessment proved Donald Trump, Senator Tom Cotton, and other conservatives were correct when, back in 2020, they declared that the virus was the result of an experiment that Communist China unleashed on the world.

Like the Nunes memo, the media and Democrats attacked the lab leak theory as misinformation.

And like the Nunes memo, the lab leak theory was the stone-cold truth.
