John Kennedy Leaves Conservatives Stunned with Comments on Court Rulings

Senator John Kennedy faced a decision.

Kennedy left everyone blindsided.

And John Kennedy chose a side in a fight with Donald Trump that no one saw coming.

As 2024 Battleground reports:

President Trump sent a slate of nominees to serve in the Justice Department to the Senate Judiciary Committee for a confirmation hearing.

Democrats peppered the nominees with questions about the fake scandal they invented about President Trump creating a constitutional crisis by defying a court order.

So far, this all exists in the minds of Democrats and the pro-Democrat media.

The real constitutional crisis is the fact that liberal activists posing as judges usurped the President’s Article II authority by staging a coup and installing themselves as the effective President.

Instead of rebutting the falsehoods Democrats were spewing, Kennedy joined the pile-on to lecture the nominees about a scandal that exists only in the fever swamps of the deluded left.

“I may be wrong but I doubt it. Don’t ever, ever take the position that you’re not going to follow the order of a federal court. Ever. Now, you can disagree with it within the bounds of legal ethics, you can criticize it, you can appeal it, or you can resign,” Kennedy stated.

Kennedy then put the Trump administration on par with Democrats who threatened conservative Supreme Court Justices at their homes – which included one assassination attempt.

“For four years. I have watched people in this town. Not all – not everybody, but many try to undermine the legitimacy of the federal judiciary. And it triggered each and every time my gag reflex,” Kennedy added.

Kennedy referenced Chuck Schumer’s 2020 comments threatening Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch as the road the Trump administration needed to avoid.

“Kavanaugh. I’ve seen that. I’ve seen this body – some in good faith, but some in bad faith – try to impose an unconstitutional violative the separation of powers doctrine ethics code on the Supreme Court,” Kennedy continued.

Kennedy put the Democrats inventing fake scandals about the conservative justices on the Supreme Court in hopes to stack the bench in their favor in the same bucket as a completely hypothetical scandal where Donald Trump told the Supreme Court to ‘buzz off’ after issuing a ruling Trump didn’t like.

“Just to try to undermine their legitimacy. Now, all our judiciary has – an equal branch of government has  – is its legitimacy. It doesn’t have an army. Don’t ever say you’re not going to follow the order of a court. You may not agree with it. But that’s my advice. And I think you ought to take it,” Kennedy declared.

Senator Kennedy is usually too smart to fall for the left’s boobytraps.

But this performance left conservatives shaking their heads.
