Kamala Harris Took A Trip To The Border. And Then Something Awful Happened

Kamala Harris has been avoiding the border hoping no one notices the crisis.

But Harris got some bad news.

And Kamala Harris took a trip to the border. And then something awful happened.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

Joe Biden designated Kamala Harris as running point on his administration’s response to the illegal immigration crisis at the southern border over 90 days ago.

After 93 days of criticism from Republicans for ignoring the situation, Harris finally scheduled a trip to the border.

Republicans – as well as Donald Trump – gloated that they forced Harris to visit the border because the political consequences for the administration suddenly became too severe to ignore.

In the month of May, the Border Patrol blocked 180,000 illegal aliens from marching into the country.

Law enforcement officials project as many as two million illegal aliens could pour into America in 2021.

Americans give Joe Biden his lowest poll numbers on the issue of illegal immigration and securing the border.

Democrats realized something had to give so Harris finally bowed to pressure and announced a mission to the border.

But even Harris’ attempt at trying to check a box on visiting the border backfired.

Harris put in the minimal effort possible by landing at the El Paso airport, touring a facility and leaving.

Journalists and conservatives pointed out the absurdity of Harris’ trip.

“For one thing, Harris didn’t even go to the actual border. She visited a Border Patrol station about nine miles from the Rio Grande, talked to some immigration activists and legal service providers, posed for press photos back at the airport, and departed for Los Angeles before 1 p.m. Even the choice of El Paso was pure theatrics. Instead of going to the epicenter of the crisis, on the other end of Texas in the Rio Grande Valley, Harris reportedly chose El Paso because that’s where the Trump administration first implemented its short-lived family separation policy. Politics, not the harsh realities on the border, was her motivation,” the New York Post’s John Daniel Davidson wrote.

“VP Harris not even going to the actual border. Just the airport and BP station – miles from the border. All on her way home to CA. This is theater,” the Heritage Foundation’s Director, Center for Technology Policy & Senior Research Fellow for Homeland Security Lora Ries posted on social media.

This is the second straight immigration photo-op Harris blew.

Harris’ trip to Central America turned into a fiasco as Harris fumbled questions in multiple interviews about when she would visit America’s southern border.

The administration intended for this trip by Harris to put this storyline to rest.

Instead, Harris’ Keystone Cops political operation and instincts turned Harris’ mulligan into another debacle.
