Kamala Harris created another problem for the Biden administration.
It was a story no one wanted to address.
And Karine Jean-Pierre wanted to run for cover over this report of Kamala Harris quitting.
As Conservative Reboot reports:
Kamala Harris plans to run for governor of California
Kamala Harris may be many things.
Polls show she’s the least popular vice president in history.
Harris failed as Biden’s border czar.
Harris’ trademark cackle is the auditory equivalent of chewing on tinfoil.
But as Harris showed when she pulled the plug on her failed 2020 presidential campaign before any voters cast a ballot – a move that preserved her political viability – Harris knows a lost cause when she sees one.
Donald Trump leads Joe Biden in the national polls.
According to Real Clear Politics, Trump also leads Biden in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
A recent KTSP/SurveyUSA poll found Trump and Biden locked in a statistical tie in Minnesota, a state no Republican has won since 1972.
That’s the message Harris sent loud and clear as she let everyone know she’s searching for a life raft ahead of Joe Biden losing to Donald Trump in November.
And the soft landing spot that Harris identified is running for governor of California in 2026.
“Vice President Kamala Harris has joked to friends that she may return to California to run for governor if Democrats lose the White House this fall, taking a page from Richard Nixon, two people familiar with her remarks said,” POLITICO exclusively reported.
Karine Jean-Pierre stunned by reports Harris planning for Biden defeat
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about the reports of Kamala Harris believing she will spend 2025 preparing to run for governor of her home state as opposed to serving a second term as vice president.
“Have you heard … that Vice President Harris is telling friends that she may go back to California and run for governor if the election does not go her way?” Doocy asked during a press briefing.
For once, Jean-Pierre actually had an excuse about being left at a loss for words.
“That is news to me. I would say this, the vice president has been a great partner to this president. He is appreciative of all the work she has done. It is impressive what she has been able to do on these tours that she has done on reproductive rights, on gun violence, to fight gun violence across the country, prevention obviously and leading in the first historic office coming out of the White House. She has been an amazing partner and the president appreciates her leadership and that’s all I’ll say to that,” Jean-Pierre answered.
Harris’ team tried to perform damage control.
“That did not happen,” Harris’ spokeswoman Kirsten Allen said in a statement. “This November, the vice president will be preparing to be inaugurated for the second term of the Biden-Harris administration.”
But Harris couldn’t unring this bell.
And it’s now out in public that even Kamala Harris believes Biden’s re-election campaign is doomed and she will spend the next four years making other political plans.
