Republicans only need to flip one seat to regain the majority.
With Joe Biden’s approval numbers sinking in the 30s in some polls Democrats are worried about their prospects to go on offense and defend their majority by flipping Republican held Senate seats.
Democrats entered the 2022 election cycle eyeing Republican Ron Johnson’s seat in Wisconsin as a prime pickup opportunity.
Every seat Democrats flip adds to the total Republicans need to win to retake control of the Senate so every race in a Republican held state could determine which party control congress.
Democrats and the corporate media smeared Johnson for months because Johnson questioned the corporate media narrative on vaccines and January 6.
But now Democrats have a huge problem on their hands.
Wisconsin Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes fired off an incendiary and racially charged statement following a Kenosha jury acquitting Kyle Rittenhouse in the shooting of three white Black Lives Matter rioters – two of whom died – because Rittenhouse acted in self-defense.
Barnes began her statement falsely claiming America was a racist country where a jury would send a black man to jail for the same charges as Rittenhouse faced.
“Over the last few weeks, many dreaded the outcome we just witnessed. The presumption of innocence until proven guilty is what we should expect from our judicial system, but that standard is not always applied equally. We have seen so many black and brown youth killed, only to be put on trial posthumously, while the innocence of Kyle Rittenhouse was virtually demanded by the judge,” Barnes wrote.
This was not true.
On the same day a jury acquitted Rittenhouse, a Florida jury also acquitted a black man named Andrew Coffee IV in the shooting death of his girlfriend and three counts of attempted murder of law enforcement.
Coffee testified the SWAT team deputies did not identify themselves and fired first at which point Coffee returned fire.
The jury agreed that Coffee acted in self-defense and acquitted a black man for shooting at police, something Barnes falsely claimed never happened in America.
Democrats just suffered crushing losses in the Virginia statewide elections as voters punished Democrats for excessive wokeness that taught children America was a racist country.
In 2020 Democrats lost 14 seats in the House of Representatives – when Nancy Pelosi predicted a gain of 15 seats – because voters rebuked Democrats for supporting defunding the police and encouraging the Black Lives Matter riots.
Lt. Governor Barnes is the leading candidate to take on Senator Johnson and Barnes is fully embracing the woke view of America as an evil and racist country which also repels swing voters.
