Joe Biden is facing a critical moment in office.
Any mistakes can derail Democrats’ chances in the 2022 midterms.
And now Megyn Kelly made Joe Biden nervous with just one sentence.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
Hunter Biden is releasing a new memoir on his life, “Beautiful Things,” which details Hunter’s struggle with addiction.
To promote the book, Biden sat for an interview with CBS News’ Tracy Smith that aired on Sunday.
In the interview, Biden said he has “no idea” whether the laptop, which was confiscated by the FBI for a money-laundering scandal, was actually his or not.
The forensic analysis of an email from the computer showed it was unquestionably authentic, according to Robert Graham, the founder of the cybersecurity firm Errata Security.
Hunter Biden has never confirmed or denied whether the computer belonged to him.
“This has every single classic indicator of deception. Twitter & Facebook should be utterly embarrassed to have run cover for this guy,” Kelly said on Sunday.
In the interview, Biden said that the laptop “could be” his, or it could have been a plant by foreign agents.
“For real, I don’t know. I really don’t know what the answer is. That’s the truthful answer,” Biden told Smith. “Of course, certainly [it could have been my laptop]. There could be a laptop out there that was stolen from me. It could be I was hacked. It could be that it was Russian intelligence.”
Later in the interview Biden wouldn’t offer any specifics on the ongoing investigation which he is under by the Department of Justice, claiming the investigation would clear him of any alleged “wrongdoing.”
“I can say this. I am cooperating completely, and I am absolutely certain, 100% certain, that at the end of the investigation, that I will be cleared of any wrongdoing,” Biden said. “I am 100% certain of it and all I can do is cooperate and trust in the process.”
Back in December, Hunter Biden claimed that the investigation was just looking into his “tax affairs.”
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Biden said in a statement. “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”
Then-President-elect Joe Biden replied to the admission that his son was under federal investigation in a statement: “President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.”
