Mitt Romney Refuses To Campaign Against Democrat Senator Running For Re-election

Mitt Romney is among the most disloyal RINOs in all of Washington.

But this betrayal was too much even for Romney.

Mitt Romney’s big 2024 announcement had Democrats breathing a sigh of relief.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

Republicans need to win three Democrat-held Senate seats to flip control of the chamber and fire Chuck Schumer as majority leader.

The GOP is targeting races in solid-red states like Montana, Ohio and West Virginia as their three best pick-up opportunities.

West Virginia — where Donald Trump won by nearly 40 points in 2020 — sees Joe Manchin enter this cycle as the most vulnerable incumbent Democrat in America.

And yet Mitt Romney would rather help the Democrats keep power.

Romney effectively endorsed Manchin’s re-election by calling Manchin a “great friend” and a “good leader” — a soundbite that Manchin can use in all of his TV ads — while promising not to campaign against the West Virginia Democrat.

“I won’t in any way campaign against my friend Joe Manchin. He’s a great friend, a good leader,” Romney stated.

Manchin got another boost when RINO Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell recruited former Democrat and current RINO Governor of West Virginia Jim Justice into the race.

Justice declaring his candidacy guaranteed a bloody and expensive primary for the heart and soul of the GOP as Justice — who was a Democrat until 2017 — will square off against pro-Trump West Virginia Congressman Alex Mooney.

For his part, Manchin dismissed Justice’s entrance into the race and declared he would win no matter what.

“I am laser focused on doing the job West Virginians elected me to do—lowering healthcare costs, protecting Social Security and Medicare, shoring up American energy security and getting our fiscal house in order,” Manchin added. “But make no mistake, I will win any race I enter.”

Mooney welcomed the RINO Justice into the primary and told reporters he looked forward to contrasting his record with that of Justice’s.

“It’s an open process,” Mooney added. “The tradition in this country, the voters make that decision who they want to be the Republican nominee and the Democratic nominee, and eventually their elected official. So I look forward to contrasting our views and positions on actual issues.”

One area of disagreement is Mooney voted against Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion socialist spending bill that was step one towards imposing socialism on America through the Green New Deal whereas Justice supported Biden’s inflationary spending scheme.

“So unlike Jim, Justice, I’ve opposed Joe Biden’s reckless spending agenda,” Mooney stated. “For example, the $1.3 trillion, non-infrastructure package that was passed last year, I voted against that. Jim Justice actually came after me and criticized me for opposing that spending bill.”

Mooney also put out an ad blistering Justice for supporting lockdowns and gun control.

The race to defeat Joe Manchin could determine which party holds power in the Senate.

And RINOs like Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell are leading the GOP down a more treacherous path by doing whatever they can to help Manchin win.
