Nancy Pelosi stepped in it this time.

The consequences are massive.

And Nancy Pelosi just made the worst decision of her life and now she’s banned from doing this one thing.

As Great American Daily reports:

One thing that is verifiably true is the fact that Nancy Pelosi is a pro-abortion fanatic.

Pelosi favors ending the lives of the unborn up until the moment of birth without any limits on the barbaric procedure.

Pelosi also claims she is supposedly a “devout Catholic.”

Devout Catholics observe Church teachings.

Nancy Pelosi spits in the face of the Catholic Church doctrine on life by championing abortion on demand.

Now San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone is taking action.

Archbishop Cordileone wrote a letter to Pelosi informing Pelosi that the archbishop barred her from receiving communion in her home parish.

“A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others. Therefore, universal Church law provides that such persons ‘are not to be admitted to Holy Communion,'” Archbishop Cordileone’s letter stated.

“Therefore, in light of my responsibility as the Archbishop of San Francisco to be ‘concerned for all the Christian faithful entrusted to [my] care’ (Code of Canon Law, can. 383, §1), by means of this communication I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you [publicly] repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance.” Archbishop Cordileone added.

There are no ifs, ands, or buts in the Catholic Church’s doctrine on life.

The Church’s position is ironclad.

“Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion,” the Catholic Church’s catechism reads. “This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable.”

The Church catechism even refers to abortion as infanticide.

“Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law,” adding that abortion represents “abominable crimes.”

The Church even reserves the right to excommunicate pro-abortion zealots like Pelosi.

“Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life,” the catechism reads.

It is impossible to take Nancy Pelosi’s claims of being a devout Catholic seriously when Pelosi espouses radical views that stand in stark contrast to the Church’s teachings.

And the archbishop in her home archdiocese has seen enough.
