New York Appeals Court Looks Ready to Toss Civil Fraud Case

Democrats are still dragging Donald Trump through the mud in court.

But it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

And Donald Trump breathed a sigh of relief over this major court case.

As American Media Watchdog reports:

Kamala Harris Needs the Courts to Take Donald Trump Down

The election is not going well for Kamala Harris. Although the polls still show a close race, Trump has a tendency to far outperform the polls when the votes are cast.

In 2020, for example, polls showed Joe Biden cruising to a landslide victory. However, when Election Day came around, he barely squeaked by.

Even in 2016, despite how vastly unpopular Hillary Clinton was, she was still ahead in most of the polls and projections leading up to the election, but of course Trump ended up winning.

Because of that, Kamala Harris knows she’s in trouble. She is hoping the courts will take care of things for her and bail her out.

But the courts may not be as cooperative in her plan as she is hoping for.

And a panel of five judges gave her bad news that will force her to reevaluate everything in her campaign.

Judges Hint That They Will Rule in Favor of Donald Trump

According to Politico, “Appeals court judges appeared to question the legitimacy of the civil fraud case against Donald Trump as the former president urged the court Thursday to overturn a judgment against him that has ballooned, with interest, to more than $478 million.”

“During oral arguments on Thursday, some members of the five-judge appeals court panel suggested that New York Attorney General Tish James had overstepped by using the particular New York fraud statute she used to bring the case against Trump. As soon as Deputy Solicitor General Judith Vale, arguing for James, began her opening remarks, she was cut off by Associate Justice David Friedman, who questioned whether her office had ever before used the statute ‘to upset a private business transaction that was between equally sophisticated partners.’”

These words must have been difficult for Kamala Harris to hear.

She surely felt like her campaign was slipping away from her.

The article continues, “The justices’ questions echoed one of Trump’s central lines of defense: He has argued that no one was harmed by the inflated valuations.”

“The former president hasn’t had to turn over the full amount of the judgment because a panel of state appeals judges allowed him to put up only a $175 million bond while he appeals the verdict.”

It appears that this case is not going to end well for Kamala Harris and Trump might emerge victorious.

This would mean that the central strategy the left has employed to keep Trump out of the White House will have failed.

Kamala Harris is not a good candidate and is going to have a hard time winning this election on her own merits.

But that may be all she is left with after this news that she received from a panel of judges.
