The bad news continues to roll in for the Democrat Party.
This latest bombshell threatens one of the party’s biggest names.
Now one Democrat no one suspected just found out they were under criminal investigation.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Last fall, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo took the most undeserved “victor” lap in the nation’s history by publishing “American Crisis,” Cuomo’s memoir of how he handled the coronavirus pandemic.
Cuomo got paid a four-million-dollar advance for the book.
“American Crisis” originally sold over 11,000 copies last fall landing it on The New York Times’ best-seller list.
But since Cuomo’s sexual harassment and coronavirus nursing home death scandals exploded, the book’s sales collapsed, with just 300 copies purchased in February.
Now “American Crisis” is the subject of the second criminal investigation Cuomo is facing regarding his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
The New York Times reported:
The New York State attorney general has opened an investigation into Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s use of state resources as he wrote and promoted his recent pandemic memoir, the latest inquiry to engulf the embattled three-term Democrat.
The investigation followed disclosures that junior staff members and senior aides worked on Mr. Cuomo’s book, “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the Covid-19 Pandemic,” including editing early drafts, sitting in on pitch meetings, and menial tasks like printing and delivering manuscript pages to the governor’s mansion.
The FBI is already investigating the Cuomo administration for how it covered up the true number of coronavirus deaths in nursing homes.
Now New York Attorney General Letitia James is investigating if Cuomo violated state law governing not using “property, services or other resources of the state for private business or other compensated nongovernmental purposes” by having administration officials work on Cuomo’s book on government time.
Cuomo advisor Richard Azzopardi dismissed the investigation.
“We have officially jumped the shark — the idea there was criminality involved here is patently absurd on its face and is just the furthering of a political pile-on,” Azzopardi told the Times.
“This is Albany politics at its worst,” Azzopardi added. “Both the comptroller and the attorney general have spoken to people about running for governor, and it is unethical to wield criminal referral authority to further political self-interest.”
For nearly a year, the corporate media hailed Andrew Cuomo as the model governor on how to handle the coronavirus outbreak.
The truth is the critics that knocked Cuomo for murderous incompetence in killing seniors in nursing homes turned out to be correct.
Cuomo then publishing a book lauding his own leadership of one of the worst coronavirus responses in America struck many Americans as completely detached from reality.
For months, Cuomo’s critics demanded accountability for the Governor’s disastrous decisions.
Now they may finally get to see Cuomo forced to answer for himself.
