The corporate media is looking for a civil war in the Republican Party.

Liberals want to see Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis tear each other apart.

And now Ron DeSantis just made one major announcement about Donald Trump and 2024.

As Great American Daily reports:

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that people need to “chill out” when questioned about a “civil war brewing” between himself and former President Donald Trump on Wednesday while he was speaking in Matlacha, Florida.

“We just finished this election, okay?” DeSantis said. “People just need to chill out a little bit on some of this stuff. I mean, seriously, we just ran an election. We have this Georgia runoff coming, which is very important for Republicans to win that Georgia runoff.

“I mean, I know around the country, Florida was kind of the biggest bright spot, it was not so bright in many other parts of the country,” he continued. “It was a substandard performance given the dynamics that are at play.”

DeSantis added that he was reelected governor of Florida because he focused on results for the people of Florida instead of on elections.

“So at the end of the day, I think what we showed in Florida is just produce results, lead with conviction,” he said. “I never put my finger in the wind or took polls, I just did what I thought that was right. But what the election gives us the opportunity to do is to continue to deliver. And so we’re going to continue to deliver, we’re not going to look back. And I think that that’s very, very significant.

“But what I think Florida has shown is that, you look at all the problems that the country is having with the inflation, the open border, all these different things, a lot of failures,” he continued. “Florida is an example that you know what, you can get the big things right, you can get things right.”

He concluded by saying that he was concentrating on the state of Florida currently.

“You know, the good thing about winning a big victory, we’ve got super majorities in the legislature now, and really, I think have, have an opportunity to continue great momentum,” he said.

DeSantis defeated his Democratic opponent, Charlie Crist, by a 19-point margin and turned the state deep red during the midterms.

His victory in Florida was key to flipping the House.

“Republicans in Congress owe a big thank you to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whose insistence on redrawing the state’s congressional districts led to a four-seat pickup in the U.S. House on Tuesday,” said Rep. Vern Buchanan, a Florida Republican. “Florida now has 20 Republican members of the House as a result of the governor’s insistence on his maps. Only one state has more Republicans in Congress.”
