Rush Limbaugh’s passing devastated millions of Americans.

Listeners thought they knew Limbaugh because Rush developed a family relationship with his audience.

But Rush Limbaugh hid one amazing fact about his life that will leave you speechless.

As Black Eye Politics reports

On Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh’s wife Kathryn announced that the influential conservative radio host had died from complications of lung cancer.

“Hello everyone, I know that I am most certainly not the Limbaugh that you tuned in to listen to today. I, like you, very much wish Rush was behind this golden microphone right now, welcoming you to another exceptional three hours of broadcasting. For over 32 years, Rush has cherished you, his loyal audience, and always looked forward to every single show. It is with profound sadness I must share with you directly that our beloved Rush, my wonderful husband, passed away this morning due to complications from lung cancer,” she said.

Limbaugh was not only a popular conservative radio personality; he paved the way for right-wing media.

It was Rush Limbaugh that broke the monopoly that the leftist mainstream media outlets had over information.

“There is no talk radio as we know it without Rush Limbaugh. It just doesn’t exist, and I’d even make the argument in many ways there’s no Fox News or even some of these other opinionated cable networks,” conservative talk show host Sean Hannity said. “He literally did something that nobody at the time ever thought was possible.”

Which is why publications such as The New York Times are rushing to blacken his memory.

The Times published a piece titled “Rush Limbaugh’s Legacy of Venom: As Trump Rose, ‘It All Sounded Familiar’” on Wednesday.

But the real Rush Limbaugh was known for generosity and would regularly tip thousands of dollars at restaurants.

He also raised tens of millions of dollars over the years through his annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Cure-A-Thon for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of America.

Country music star John Rich shared of how Limbaugh once donated $100,000 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital on the condition that his donation remain anonymous.

“When I was on Celebrity Apprentice, Rush Limbaugh made a donation of $100,000 dollars to St. Jude Children’s Hospital to support them, and my mission on the TV Show under the condition that he remained anonymous. I never said a word until now. He will be missed. #RIPRushLimbaugh,” Rich said.

Former President Donald Trump also expressed his sorrow at Limbaugh’s passing.

“He was a unique guy, and he became a friend of mine…he was with me right from the beginning,” Trump said of Limbaugh. “He was just a great gentleman. A great man.”
