Minnesota Governor Tim Walz crashed and burned in his debate with Donald Trump.

There was one moment that crystallized jut how bad it got.

And Tim Walz’s strange debate confession left Americans scratching their heads.

As Conservative Reboot reports:

Walz Continues to Struggle Under the Spotlight

Tim Walz has proven to be a horrific choice for running mate by Kamala Harris, something that has been obvious to many observers right from the get-go.

For one thing, Walz has a terribly vanilla personality. He is not an engaging public speaker and there is nothing extraordinary about him that would appeal to people.

On top of that, however, he seems to have a serious issue with telling the truth.

In his earlier years as a congressman, Walz said a lot of things that were just plainly false. This may have been because he never thought he’d rise to a higher office where people would actually fact-check his statements.

He did wind up climbing the ladder, however, but unfortunately the habit seems to have stuck.

Now, not only is he having to answer questions about his untruthful statements, but he also made a bizarre verbal gaffe during the debate that shocked viewers.

Walz Makes a Strange Statement About Befriending School Shooters

According to Fox News, “Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz baffled the internet on Tuesday when he accidentally declared he has ‘become friends with school shooters’ during the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate against Sen. JD Vance.

“The poorly timed mishap occurred when Walz was asked about changing positions on banning assault weapons, which he previously opposed but now supports.”

Here is what Walz said: “I sat in that office with those Sandy Hook parents. I’ve become friends with school shooters. I’ve seen it.”

This was not the only thing that came up during the debate that is going to have Kamala Harris wishing she had chosen someone else.

His problems with honesty came up yet again, and surprisingly the debate moderator called him out for it.

According to the Associated Press, “At Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate, Walz was asked about misleading people and he ultimately when pressed said he ‘misspoke.’ But Walz said that he can ‘get caught up in rhetoric’ and that ‘I’ve tried to do the best I can, but I’ve not been perfect. And I’m a knucklehead at times.’ He then added that former President Donald Trump should have come on one of his trips to China, and if he had done so, then the Republican nominee would know better than to compliment Chinese President Xi Jinping on his handling of the 2020 pandemic.”

Calling himself a “knucklehead” is not a great way for Walz to persuade voters to support him.

And admitting that he said something that was apparently dishonest is a bad look too.

Tim Walz continues to dig the hole even deeper as his mistakes during this campaign are continuing to pile up.

He clearly was not the right choice for Kamala Harris, and she should have gone in a different direction.

Now, she may end up paying the price at the ballot box for the many mistakes that Tim Walz has made.
