Democrats continue to confront the reality that is Joe Biden’s failed presidency.

That’s leading to uncomfortable conversations.

Now Trey Gowdy spoke a truth that Democrats will never admit in public.

As Great American Daily reports:

Joe Biden humiliated himself and America in foreign affairs once again.

Biden traveled to Saudi Arabia to plead with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to up his nation’s oil production in an effort to lower gas prices and bail Biden out politically.

But Biden called to turn Saudi Arabia into a pariah over the crown prince’s alleged involvement in the death of Jamal Khashoggi.

The crown prince scoffed at Biden’s demand and Biden came home empty-handed with America’s dignity in tatters.

Trey Gowdy slammed Biden for failing to navigate a political minefield of his own making.

“And that was arguably not the toughest issue the president faced in Saudi Arabia, the toughest issue may have been navigating America’s need for Saudi Arabia as an ally against Iran, while also bringing up the reality that our intelligence community believes Saudi Arabia ordered the murder and subsequent dismembering of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi,” Gowdy said on his Sunday night Fox News Channel show.

Biden tried to shatter the alliance President Trump forged with Saudi Arabia over the Iran nuclear deal.

Trump cultivated the Saudis to serve as a regional check on the radical Islamic government in Iran.

Gowdy ripped Democrats who blasted Biden for calling to make Saudi Arabia a pariah while hoping to return to the Barack Obama policy of appeasement towards Iran.

“And then there’s Iran, for reasons I don’t fully understand, talking to Saudi Arabia is wrong in the eyes of some in this country while negotiating with Iran is okay. This is the same Iran, of course, who sides with Russia, supplies terrorist groups around the world and oh, by the way, wants to assassinate current or former U.S. government officials in retaliation for killing one of their own generals who happened to be a terrorist,” Gowdy added.

Trey Gowdy finished up his remarks by ripping Biden for sniping “why don’t you guys talk about something that matters? I’m happy to answer a question that matters” to a reporter who asked Biden about his fist bump greeting with the Saudi crown prince.

Gowdy explained that absorbing criticism came with the territory and if Biden did not want to answer questions he should not have volunteered to run for president.

“Being president is a hard job. There are economic issues, security issues, energy issues, and there is also the obligation to stand for something morally, like not killing members of the press for example. It’s a tough job, which is why so few of us raise our hands and volunteer for it. But when you do raise your hand and say ‘pick me to be the leader of the free world,’ you can expect some scrutiny. And that’s exactly what President Biden is getting,” Gowdy concluded.
