Donald Trump is running for president again.

But how will Trump fare?

And Trump is shocked – a stunning new poll proved one thing.

As Conservative Revival reports:

Republicans did not win back the Senate and it even looks shaky that they win take back the majority in the House of Representatives.

The disappointing outcome led some to point the finger of blame at Donald Trump for endorsing candidates like Dr. Mehmet Oz that lost winnable races because they were bad fits for their state or did not inspire the Republican base.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis emerged as the other big story out of the election.

Governor DeSantis romped to victory crushing Democrat Charlie Crist by 19 points winning 57 percent of the Hispanic vote as well as 62 of Florida’s 67 counties including Democrat strongholds like Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County.

DeSantis’s smashing win – which realigned Florida into a deep red state – as well DeSantis record for fighting the left and winning on COVID and pushing back against woke ideology in the classrooms and corporate boardrooms propelled DeSantis to 2024 presidential frontrunner status.

A new poll from YouGov taken after the election showed Republicans preferring DeSantis to Trump 42 to 35 percent in a potential GOP Presidential primary matchup.

In the run up and aftermath of the election DeSantis was very much on Trump’s mind.

In the days before the election this talk annoyed Trump who planned to announce his re-election campaign on November 15.

Speaking with reporters Trump claimed it would be a bad idea for DeSantis to challenge him.

“I don’t know that he’s running,” Trump stated. “I think if he runs he could hurt himself very badly.”

“I think he would be making a mistake,” Trump added. “I think the base would not like it.”

After the election outlets like Fox news lavished praise on DeSantis as the future of the party Trump erupted again releasing a statement slamming media outlets trying to shove him aside.

Trump also attacked DeSantis for not being grateful for Trump’s endorsement which proved decisive in the 2018 gubernatorial primary and election.

“I then got Ron by the “Star” of the Democrat Party, Andrew Gillum (who was later revealed to be a “Crack Head”), by having two massive Rallies with tens of thousands of people at each one I also fixed his campaign, which had completely fallen apart,” Trump declared.

“The Fake News asks him if he’s going to run if President Trump runs, and he says, ‘I’m only focused on the Governor’s race, I’m not looking into the future,’” Trump continued.

“Well, in terms of loyalty and class, that’s really not the right answer,” Trump exclaimed.

It now looks inevitable that Trump and DeSantis will face each other in a 2024 GOP primary.

And the voters will have the final say on the future direction of the GOP.
