Ilhan Omar’s lived at the center of controversy since entering Congress.
But Omar may have crossed the point of no return.
And Ilhan Omar made one unthinkable mistake that could cost her everything.
As Liberal Hack Watch reports:
Israel launched military operations to eradicate Hamas after the terrorist group launched an attack in Israel that killed 1,300 innocents and saw more than 100 others taken hostage.
Hamas terrorists committed atrocities the likes of which the world hasn’t seen in decades as jihadists decapitated babies and burned family members alive as they clutched one another in a terrified embrace for their final moments on Earth.
This was a rare instance where the world could unite around the fact that there was a good guy and a bad guy.
But that narrative experienced a jolt when the media – including outlets such as The New York Times – ran with the Hamas propaganda that Israel bombed the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital causing 500 deaths.
Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib eagerly spread these Hamas claims on social media and accused Israel of war crimes in stark language they never used to condemn the initial Hamas terrorist attack.
“Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific. @POTUS needs to push for an immediate ceasefire to end this slaughter,” Omar posted on X.
“Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that. @POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate. Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood,” Tlaib wrote.
Beyond the fact that the Times, Tlaib and Omar believed Hamas because they wanted to accept the Hamas version of events out of an animus towards Israel, it should have been an immediate red flag that Hamas claimed to have an exact death count moments after the strike.
A casualty count takes days to arrive at as authorities sift through the rubble.
Within hours it became obvious Hamas was lying for propaganda purposes.
Even radical left-wing MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan – who MSNBC benched because of his pro-Hamas commentary – admitted a misfired Hamas rocket struck the hospital.
Thread from the defense editor of The Economist making the case for why he thinks the evidence this morning is in favor of ‘failed rocket launch’ over ‘Israeli air strike.’ As I said last night, it would help if foreign journalists were allowed into Gaza. https://t.co/O3bx0ww3ls

When Joe Biden traveled to Israel he brought along the message that all evidence shows Hamas – and not Israel – struck the hospital.
Joe Biden backs Israel on Gaza hospital explosion:
"Based on what I've seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you, but there are a lot of people out there who aren't sure so we've got to overcome a lot of things."

Tlaib, Omar and The New York Times never stopped for one second to question this obvious falsehood because it fit their narrative of the evil Israelis terrorizing the innocent Palestinians.
