And now Alvin Bragg made the sick demand that could land Trump behind bars.

Joe Biden donor Judge Juan Merchan already pressed his thumb down on the scale in the 2024 election by limiting the political speech of Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president, through an unconstitutional gag order in Alvin Bragg’s political show trial.
Bragg’s prosecutors were back in court demanding a Democrat judge further muzzle the Republican candidate for president because of a Truth Social post made about Merchan’s bias.
In addition to Merchan’s political leanings, Trump argued that Merchan’s daughter is an operative working for a Democrat-aligned consulting firm that did work for Trump archnemesis Adam Schiff.
“Defendant’s dangerous, violent, and reprehensible rhetoric fundamentally threatens the integrity of these proceedings and is intended to intimidate witnesses and trial participants alike— including this Court,” the motion read.
Trump’s lawyers argued this was all an unnecessary sideshow since Trump’s post didn’t violate Merchan’s initial order because the gag order never covered Merchan or his family.
“President Trump has not violated the gag order, and expanding the gag order would exacerbate the existing and ongoing constitutional violations that the order is inflicting,” Trump attorney Todd Blanche wrote.
“This issue is not complicated. Family members of trial participants must be strictly off-limits,” Bragg’s motion fired back.
But Trump’s defenders argued Merchan’s daughter is a grown adult who works in the world of professional politics, she isn’t a child or a civilian with no dog in the fight.
Bragg’s motion copied the playbook for gag orders requested by Jack Smith in trying to inject charges of Trump inciting an insurrection without actually having to charge Trump with those crimes.
“Defendant’s insistence to the contrary bespeaks a dangerous sense of entitlement to instigate fear and even physical harm to the loved ones of those he sees in the courtroom,” the motion continued.
“This Court should immediately make clear that defendant is prohibited from making or directing others to make public statements about family members of the Court, the District Attorney, and all other individuals mentioned in the Order,” the motion concluded.
Joe Biden can’t run on his record because open borders, inflation, banning gas-powered vehicles, woke ideology and pushing for war with Russia over Ukraine are all deeply unpopular with the voters.
Biden’s entire campaign is trying to scare the American people that Donald Trump is the leader of a domestic terrorist movement that will overthrow democracy.
And Democrats are looking to Democrat judges to give the court’s stamp of implied approval through gag orders limiting Trump’s political speech on the baseless grounds that Trump’s words are dangerous.
