The debacle was too much for Democrats to bear.
It was yet another unforced error.
And Karine Jean-Pierre fell apart when she saw this damning video of Joe Biden.

During an event in Virginia, Joe Biden sought to make the obscene case that the 2024 election should be a referendum on abortion on demand.
In the course of his remarks Joe Biden undercut democracy by falsely claiming that Democrat Terry McAuliffe is the “real governor” of Virginia.
McAuliffe served as governor of Virginia from 2014 to 2018.
But Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated McAuliffe in 2021.
Election denying is nothing new for Democrats.
Democrats objected to the certification of every presidential election Republicans won since 1988.
Hillary Clinton still spreads the Big Lie that the Russians stole the 2016 election from her.
And Stacey Abrams spent four years falsely claiming to be the legitimate governor of Georgia after she lost to Republican Brian Kemp by 50,000 votes in 2018.
Democrats now claim denying election results is the greatest attack on democracy since the Civil War and that Republicans who question the results of elections that Democrats win should face criminal charges.
Biden literally cast the 2024 election as a contest of good and evil where he smeared the 74 million Americans who voted for Trump as dangerous domestic extremists out to overthrow American democracy and that the only way to stop them is to give him four more years in the White House.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre why Biden thinks election denialism is now a laughing matter after claiming Trump supporters who “denied” the outcome of the 2020 election were essentially terrorists.
“He was making a joke about Terry McAuliffe,” Jean-Pierre claimed.
“What’s the joke?” Doocy shot back.
Jean-Pierre then tried to gaslight the American people into thinking Joe Biden didn’t say what the cameras clearly captured him saying about denying the results of the 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election.
“Okay, he did not deny, he did not deny it. He congratulated Governor Youngkin. [As] a matter of fact, when he won the election, he did it out of the gate. Out of the gate, really, truly, he congratulated the governor and not only that, we’ve had the chance to work with the governor over the past couple of years and you know, this is a president that works across the aisle. You’ve seen that many times and he was making a joke,” Jean-Pierre rambled.
Joe Biden and the Democrats thought their ace in the hole in 2024 would be scaring suburban voters by telling the country it would cease to exist if Trump wins.
But in less than 10 seconds Joe Biden threw that all away.
