Joe Biden’s mental state is one of the top issues for voters.
The concern is only going to grow.
And that’s because Kamala Harris makes frightening excuses for Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
As Great American Daily reports:
Democrats were blindsided by the damaging revelations about Joe Biden in special counsel Robert Hur’s report.
Hur completed his investigation into Joe Biden stealing classified documents with a finding that he wouldn’t recommend criminal charges.
But it was why Hur said he wouldn’t recommend charges that set Washington ablaze.
Hur wrote that he could never win a conviction because a jury would see Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” adding that “it would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him” because “that requires a mental state of willfulness,” and that Biden’s brain is enfeebled.
An NBC News poll showed more than 75 percent of Americans don’t think Biden is physically or mentally capable of carrying out his duties as president.
And Democrats worried that now that Joe Biden’s own Justice Department deemed him mentally incompetent to stand trial, there is no coming back.
That led to a coordinated campaign to push back on Hur’s report.
But it didn’t go well either.
Hur cited two meetings with Biden on October 8 and 9, 2023, as to why he believes Biden is too mentally deficient to be put on trial.
In those interviews, Hur reported that Biden couldn’t remember what years he was vice president and had no recollection of when his son died from brain cancer.
Kamala Harris led the charge to defend Biden, but in typical Harris fashion, ended up stepping on a rake.
In her attempt at damage control Harris claimed Biden’s memory failed because he was under too much stress dealing with the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel which took place the day before the first interview with Hur.
“October 7th, Israel experienced a horrific attack. And I will tell you, we got the calls, the President and myself, in the hours after that occurred,” Harris declared. “It was an intense moment for the Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America. And I was in almost every meeting with the President in the hours and days that followed. Countless hours with the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of State, the heads of our intelligence community — and the President was in front of and on top of it all.”
The notion that Biden suffered a cognitive breakdown and couldn’t recall the details of major life events due to a national security crisis overloading his mind wasn’t exactly the reassuring defense Harris thought it was.
But that was par for the course.
After Biden staged a fiasco press conference to defend himself against Hur calling him senile where Biden forgot the name of the church where he got the rosary after Beau died and confused the presidents of Egypt and Mexico, one Democrat tried to excuse the performance because the event took place at 8 p.m., which is late for Biden.
“One House Democrat … wondered why the president’s staff allowed him to hold a press conference — then field reporters’ shouted questions ‘that late at night after a full day,’ instead of this morning, when he’d be ‘fresh,’” Axios reported.
However, the idea that the President of the United States confused the presidents of two foreign nations because 8 p.m. was past his bedtime was another eye-rolling defense.
