Karine Jean-Pierre Doubles Down on Joe Biden’s Border Folly

Karine Jean-Pierre rarely has a good day at this office.

Jean-Pierre’s latest meltdown was especially bad.

And Karine Jean-Pierre got herself in deep trouble with this border crisis gaffe.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

The most recent NBC News poll showed Donald Trump leading Joe Biden by 35 points on the border.

Biden and the rest of the D.C. establishment reacted by realizing they needed to pretend to do something about the border.

But Republicans rejected a sham border bill that Joe Biden, Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer drew up that wrote into law the ability of Joe Biden to accept nearly 2 million illegal aliens per year into America.

Joe Biden’s response was to throw a temper tantrum and falsely claim Republicans are responsible for the border crisis that he created.

Karine Jean-Pierre test-drove this message during a deranged press gaggle where Jean-Pierre claimed that unless Republicans voted to codify Joe Biden’s open borders agenda the administration would stop enforcing immigration law.

“Because congressional Republicans are choosing partisan politics over our national security and refusing to pass the bipartisan national security agreement that includes significant border reforms and funding, over the coming weeks, ICE will be forced to reduce operations because of budget shortfalls,” Jean-Pierre stated.

300,000 illegal aliens attempted to cross the border in December because Joe Biden opened the border on day one.

Biden halted wall construction.

Biden ended the “Remain in Mexico” protocols.

Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas reinstated catch and release while also making it official policy to no longer deport illegal aliens just because they crossed the border illegally.

And yet Jean-Pierre claimed unless Republicans passed Biden’s border betrayal the administration would stop the deportations it already largely refuses to perform anyway.

“We have asked Congress for additional funding and resources, and every time Congress has provided less than we asked for, or most recently, completely ignored our supplemental request,” Jean-Pierre continued.

“ICE would be forced to reduce its removal operations, its total detention capacity and more,” Jean-Pierre added.

“When ICE can’t conduct these operations, our national security and public safety will be harmed. Speaker Johnson and congressional Republicans should be held accountable. This was their choice,” Jean-Pierre stated.

Jean-Pierre’s comments – ironically enough – buttressed one of the main arguments Republicans made in sinking the border betrayal bill.

Conservatives argued Biden already wasn’t enforcing federal immigration law so why would they sign on to a deal where the border security measures were voluntary and up to the discretion of Joe Biden?

The fact that Jean-Pierre admitted that Joe Biden can – and will – refuse to enforce the immigration laws currently on the books makes it madness for Republicans to roll over on the border issue.
