Vivek Ramaswamy Destroys Media Narrative About January 6

CNN and the rest of the media want to make the 2024 election a referendum on Donald Trump and January 6.

But CNN and the rest of the media also got some bad news.

And Vivek Ramaswamy shut down a CNN host with this January 6 reality check.

As Liberal Hack Watch reports:

Republican presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy obliterated host Abby Phillip’s attempt to mislead the public about what really happened on January 6 during a town hall event in Iowa.

Ramaswamy said new video footage released by House Speaker Mike Johnson crushed the story Democrats and the media told about how Trump supporters attacked police and stormed the Capitol to try and overthrow the American government.

There were violent Trump supporters that day and prosecutors charged more than 300 with attacking police officers.

But that was a tiny minority of the crowd, which Americans wouldn’t have known as the media and January 6 committee selectively aired only certain video clips to give a misleading portrayal of what took place.

The full suite of surveillance camera footage painted a more nuanced picture where the vast majority of Trump supporters peacefully protested and walked in the Capitol after officers held the door open for them.

Ramaswamy also told Phillip that the FBI faking a kidnapping plot against Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer also caused him to reconsider the “official” version of events since he could no longer trust the FBI to fairly carry out the pursuit of justice.

But what caused Phillip to melt down on live TV was Ramaswamy’s factual claim that the FBI had informants in the crowd that day.

When Ramaswamy finished laying out the facts, the crowd cheered.

Phillip is a prime example of the new breed of journalists who is highly ideological and claims anyone who communicates a point of view that Democrats disagree with is spreading “misinformation” and should be censored.

In this case, it was Phillip who spread misinformation.

Washington Field Office Chief Steven D’Antuono testified to the House Judiciary Committee that the FBI had so many confidential informants in the crowd on January 6 that the FBI lost track of them all.

D’Antuono told the committee the FBI had “to do a poll or put out something to people saying w[ere] any CHSs involved” to try and figure out what assets were out in the field that day.

“We started getting responses back,” D’Antuono stated which confirmed that there were undercover FBI assets among Trump supporters on January 6.

The questions that remain – and which Ramaswamy asked – are, how many informants did the FBI plant in the crowd that day and did they play any role in inciting acts of violence?
