Donald Trump sat down for an interview with Megyn Kelly for the first time in seven years.
Sparks flew.
And Donald Trump dropped the hammer on Megyn Kelly with one devastating word.

Megyn Kelly interviewed Donald Trump for the first time in seven years for her podcast.
Trump held a grudge with Kelly over Trump’s belief that Kelly tried to sandbag him with a “gotcha” question about comments Trump made about women in the first 2016 GOP presidential primary debate.
Kelly now hosts one of the most popular podcasts in America so Trump scheduled an interview with her as a chance to get his message out to voters as he runs for re-election.
In a campaign swing through Iowa following the interview Trump recounted to the crowd about his most recent media tour that included a sit-down with Kristen Welker of NBC’s “Meet the Press” in addition to the appearance on Kelly’s podcast.
“Meet the Press” was predictably hostile territory as Welker was a registered Democrat and the biased moderator of the final 2020 debate between Trump and Joe Biden.
“I did Meet the Press this weekend, they got fantastic ratings. I call it Meet the Fake Press,” Trump stated. “And it was one question after another after another after another and went through this whole hour. You had Kristen Welker, and she was you know, nice, although she kept interrupting me cause she wasn’t loving all of the answers I was giving,” Trump stated.
Then Trump declared that Kelly was “nasty” during their interview showing that the bad blood from 2016 had not truly died down.
“Then I did a Megyn Kelly one and she just, you know, boy, she became nastier all of a sudden. She was pretty nasty, didn’t ya think? Anybody that watched it?” Trump told the crowd.
One of the controversial moments from the Kelly interview that likely inspired Trump to call Kelly “nasty” was a question where Kelly asked Trump if biological males can be women.
Trump appeared to shift into general election mode and gave a complex answer where he implied that the answer was no and mocked the idea on the left that men can become pregnant, but Trump never explicitly rejected the idea of gender identity fluidity.
“In my opinion, you have a man, you have a woman. I think part of it is birth. Can the man give birth? No, no, although they’ll come up with some answer to that also someday. I heard just the other day they have a way that now the man can give birth. No, I would say I’ll continue my stance on that,” Trump stated.
This struck many Trump supporters as surprising because Trump was the one who introduced the policy of fighting back against transgenderism in his speech after leaving office in 2021.
Trump said Republicans should support executive orders and legislation banning biological males from women’s sports.
But for some reason Trump took a long and winding way to answer Kelly’s question and the fact that his rivals accused him of going soft on the issue of transgenderism clearly irked him.
