John Fetterman Confronts Senator Bob Menendez With Resignation Demand

Democrats prefer it when John Fetterman stays out of the headlines.

Fetterman refuses to comply with those wishes.

And John Fetterman made one big scene in public that left Democrats shaking their heads.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

The House of Representatives voted to expel New York Republican Congressman George Santos.

Santos stood accused of committing several campaign finance crimes and lying about every aspect of his life.

But Republicans caved to the left and the media pressure and voted to shrink their already narrow majority by one seat despite Santos not being convicted of any crime.

This made Santos the first member of Congress since 1862 to be expelled without a criminal conviction.

Democrats wanted to focus on the fact that they will now face a special election in the next 70 days where a victory will allow the left to say they have the momentum heading into the presidential election.

But expelling Santos didn’t turn into quite the political boon Democrats thought.

That’s because John Fetterman refused to let go of his quest to expel New Jersey Democrat Senator Bob Menendez.

Appearing on “The View,” Fetterman told the hosts that the crimes Menendez stood accused of – accepting bribes to act as an unregistered agent of the Egyptian government – were far more serious than the allegations that got Santos bounced out of Congress.

“I think the more important picture is, is that we have a colleague in the Senate that actually does much more sinister and serious kinds of things. Senator Menendez, he needs to go. And if you are going to expel Santos, how can you allow somebody like Menendez to remain in the Senate? And, you know, Santos is kind of, lies were almost, you know, funny. And like, you know, he, you know, landed on the moon and that kind of stuff. Whereas, you know, I think, you know, Menendez, I think is really a senator for Egypt. You know, not New Jersey. So I really think he needs to go,” Fetterman stated.

Menendez is up for re-election next year and Menendez vowed to seek another term.

Democrats are terrified that Menendez will win a primary where he is facing Congressman Andy Kim and First Lady of New Jersey Tammy Murphy and put a safe blue seat in play.

Fetterman’s insistence that the Senate expel Menendez also exposed the expulsion effort against Santos as a hypocritical exercise in partisan politics.

That’s because Menendez’s son Rob is a congressman from New Jersey and Rob Menendez voted to expel Santos.

By the standard set in the Santos case the Senate should also expel Menendez.
