Democrats are known for sticking together at all costs.
But John Fetterman crossed a line.
And John Fetterman got the surprise of his life when these top allies turned on him.

Even Democrats were appalled by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer relaxing the dress code so John Fetterman could slum around in shorts and hoodies while casting votes and participating in committee hearings.
Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin is Schumer’s second in command and normally leadership moves in unison.
But Durbin told SiriusXM’s POTUS channel that he thought Fetterman dressing like a drunk at a dive bar disgraced the Senate.
“We need to have standards when it comes to what we’re wearing on the floor of the Senate,” Durbin declared.
More importantly, Durbin hinted there was a movement behind the scenes to override Schumer and restore the dress code.
“And we’re in the process of discussing that right now as to what those standards will be,” Durbin continued.
Key red-state Democrats who provide Schumer his majority also publicly spoke out against Fetterman.
Arizona liberal Mark Kelly’s entire career in the Senate hinges on voting like a radical leftist while presenting himself as a moderate.
To that end Kelly tersely expressed his displeasure with Fetterman’s appearance during an interview with CNN’s left-wing host, Jake Tapper.

West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin circulated a resolution that attracted the support of 50 senators – three Democrats and 47 Republicans – to put the dress code back in place.

Democrats never turn on one another in public.
The left always sticks together which is their big advantage over Republicans who always tuck tail and run at the first sign of media criticism.
But Fetterman disgracing the Senate with his attire struck a nerve for a Democrat in leadership as well as the key swing state members to take sides against them in the media.
And it would be extraordinary to see Democrats teaming up with Republicans in a bipartisan rebellion to rebuke both Schumer and Fetterman over the lack of a Senate dress code.
