Donald Trump is going to pick a new running mate.
The GOP establishment has their candidate.
And now Donald Trump made one giant announcement about picking Nikki Haley as VP.

The Ron DeSantis campaign is desperate to peel supporters away from Donald Trump.
Trump leads DeSantis by 30 points in Iowa, a state that DeSantis must win to keep his slim White House hopes alive.
The DeSantis campaign seized on a remark made by Lara Trump saying “never say never” when asked if her father-in-law would pick Haley to fill out the ticket to falsely claim Donald Trump entered into a secret deal with Haley to select her as his running mate once the primary ended.
DeSantis began publicly challenging Haley to disavow the idea of serving as Trump’s running mate.
Trump supporters despise Haley as Haley is the ideological heir to the Mitt Romney/Liz Cheney wing of the GOP.
Haley supports the endless war in Ukraine and allowing businesses to import unlimited numbers of immigrants to compete with American workers and drive down wages.
Haley also opposed legislation banning transgender child surgeries and men from using the women’s bathroom.
Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene exploded over the hint that Haley could end up on the ticket saying, “MAGA would revolt should an establishment RINO like Haley find herself as the heiress apparent to Donald Trump.”
“MAGA would revolt if Nikki Haley were to even be given an internship in Trump’s next administration. She represents the neocon establishment America last wing of the Republican Party that we are absolutely done with. Also, she lied and said she would not run against Trump,” Greene posted on social media.
The Trump campaign swiftly moved to shut down this rumor-mongering by the DeSantis campaign.
Donald Trump Jr. slammed Haley as a “puppet” for the D.C. swamp and pro-Ukraine war mongers saying that Haley would end up on the ticket over his dead body.
“I would go to great lengths to make sure that doesn’t happen,” Trump Jr. told Newsmax host Eric Bolling.
“She’s a puppet of the establishment in Washington D.C. She’s the new favored candidate of the billionaire class because they want control.” Trump Jr. added. “No different than academia and Harvard using their billions to exercise influence. They want someone they control.”
Trump himself put the issue to rest in an interview with conservative radio talk show host Howie Carr.
“I’m not even thinking about that,” Trump began before dismissing the idea of Haley as his VP. “Well, look, I think it’s unlikely. Some things we have in common, some things we don’t.”
Donald Trump’s number-one issue for a running mate is loyalty.
Haley has no loyalty to the Trump agenda, and she showed no loyalty by challenging Trump for the nomination.
But the DeSantis campaign thinks it can make political hay out of inventing the idea of a secret deal between Trump and Haley.
It doesn’t seem likely to work, however.
